West Hill Golf Club
Initial tee shots, particularly the drives, must be carefully directed to the right place to set up a chance of hitting the correct part of the green if one wishes to avoid all thought of a three putt on subtly undulating surfaces. Whilst the white tees will test the skills and patience of the very best golfers, there is much satisfaction to be obtained from playing the friendlier front tees.Contact Information

A gem of a course.
Stands up to all its illustrious neighbours easily.
By no means the longest, but by no means the easiest either.
Friendliest pro you could ever met ( not always the case in private surrey clubs)
You simply must play it if you get the chanceThe Course

This course is testing although not too long. The brook that goes through the course comes into play on 6 of the holes, I found it 4 times on my first round as it didn't look like it was within reach.
Although I hadn't played here before the course was easy to follow, but there were a couple of holes with blind tee shots. As I didn't know my way around I almost missed the par 3 13th, as it was hidden around a corner .
The pro shop is well stock & the staff were very helpful when I arrived & although I never used the clubhouse it looked very nice from the outsideThe Course

West Hill is a traditional members club, and rounds for the public are expensive, but some deals are available for societies. The club house is very smart indeed, and there are currently having a new halfway hut built. The course is excellent, and if you get a chance to play, is should not be passed by. The club in woking, adjoins Worplesdon and Woking, and all 3 course are of the highest standard in Surrey, and a good test for any golfer.

It has been very wet and the staff have been busy spiking the greens etc, but the course is wonderful. Picturesque with tall pine trees lining many fairways and heather sprinkled around generously. Challenging but fair. I understand the course is spectacular in spring when the rhododendrons are in bloom. Clubhouse/facilities neat and clean. On the downside, there was no halfway house and the bar stopped serving food at 5pm. Also as a member's guest I paid £25 (good value) but the full green fee of £65 is more than I would pay for a round of golf whilst the greens have got more holes than a sieve. But now that's being picky. Overall a very nice course, recommended
