Golf course review of Worplesdon Golf Club

I played here on a lovely sunny Friday afternoon being entertained through work so was always likley to be a favourable review? Worplesdon did not let me down as it was really lovely place to play golf with picturesque tree lined fairways and a real variety of holes in terms and length and terrain. Stand outs were the beautiful Par 3's. Not especially long if you drive it well but long enough if you are wayward. First class greens throughout and generally very well presented course made for a very impressive course. Also benefits from a fantastic old club house. Sadly played my worst golf of the last 12 months but that did not spoil the day. Can't wait to go back and post a better score.

Having only played one of the Three W's (West Hill) I was very much looking forward to playing this course and it really didn't disappoint. In fantastic condition given the time of year - the fairways were damp & muddy on a couple of early holes but otherwise superb and the greens were just fabulous. Played off the white sticks (the member said it wasn't worth playing from the yellows) and at just under 6500yds it was certainly intimidating at times with some long approach shots required. If you are struggling off the tee it will make it a long day and the greens have some very interesting slopes and undulations on them. Would love to go back to play this in the summer.

Fantastic heathland course. Bargain at £50 for a winter green fee. No one on the course, which was in excellent condition. Greens were still fast and true (even in 3rd week in December).

Well maintained & managed heath land golf course. Am lucky to play this twice per year on Society days, but still worth £95 for a full day providing you get two rounds in! Course challenging to all levels of golfers, greens are excellent & true some of the best I have putted on this year. Look forward to returning, a forgiving 1st Hole aloows you to get of to a good start!!

Worplesdon, in the heart of Surrey, adjoins Woking and West Hill courses, probably 3 of the best courses in surrey. Worplesdon is maintained to a very high standard and is a tough course. Shoot your handicap and you will be very pleased. Tough but fair, and if you get a chance to play there, take the opportunity.
