Good course with some thought provoking holes
Really good day spent as part of a team on a charity day out, hospitality was great and the club accommodated us brilliantly, the course was in great condition and held up well, especially as the heavens opened on us midway round.(Round played: Aug 2018 - Score: 92 Handicap: 14)

thought the course held up well to heavy raid with made it open for scoring as the greens were soft but had a true roll

Society Day yesterday Aug 7, despite the past few weeks weather Greens were superb, tees excellent. Great course, a lot of the holes quite forgiving for the errant driver, would definitely recommend and return. Good clubhouse, Bar, Food.Reviewer Rating

A top course
Surprisingly undulating with excellent greens and fairways. Not always having to use a driver as best results come from careful course management.(Round played: Jul 2018 - Score: 90 Handicap: 21.9)

Very good value for course in good condition. Poor planning by setting inter club matches out in 2 balls in to a packed course of 3/4 ball groups.

Excellent course in fantastic condition
Played on a cold sunny day and course and view were spectacular for the time of year. All greens were in superb condition and all were in use except one where the bunkers were being improved. Great credit to the green keepers.Reviewer Rating

the 1st hole is a brute. Greens in great nick, some of the bunkers we lacking sand. overall very enjoyable

Played it in windy dry conditions and rough was punishing, you need to be straight of the tee and not too long as a lot of bunkers will collect over hit balls and slight off line shots,

Not bad. Could do with a little more colour around the course. Very plain. Very hilly. Recommend getting a buggie if you can. Only 6 buggies available, so get in quick.

Course in very good shape with quick/firm greens and lush fairways, if you can avoid the trees you can score really well

I am a member here. I would say the course, clubhouse & facilities compare very favourably with other local courses. The course is not exceptionally long overall but it is far from easy. Most of the par 3s are about 190 yards and a couple of the other holes play very long, particularly the 1st (466 yards par 4 into the prevailing wind) and the 600 yard par 5 17th. Most of the fairways are quite tight and side slopes mean that accurate driving is essential. The course is exceptionally well kept and although there are mats on the par 3s in winter it is very rare that the main greens are not in play. The course is often open when others are closed. The clubhouse is friendly (not stuffy), the pros are helpful (and good teachers) and the half-way house is the best I know for a bacon roll or homemade soup. Those considering membership will value the fact that (apart from Sunday morning) they can just turn up and play with no booking required. Those looking for a course to visit for the day should definitely give it a try.
