What the club says: The Genevieve Course is widely regarded as one of the prettiest 18 hole layouts in Suffolk. A parkland course with The River Lark gently meandering through the fairways, the 6,391 yard championship standard track is a regular venue for the EuroPro Tour. The course offers a tough but fair test with water on almost every hole. The lush, soft fairways are kept in beautiful condition and with mature trees and out of bounds complementing the water as the course's major hazards, playing to your handicap will always be regarded as a successful round.

The course today was in appalling condition, fairways were like the rough on other courses, the rough was terrible and the whole course left alot to be desired, terrible greens patchy and uneven, tees were down right awful with mole hills and huge craters, bunkers had very little sand and were very tatty with weeds everywhere probably more nettles than sand in each bunker, not worth the visit and certainly will not be going back, awful maintanace with a greenkeeper doing laps round the green whilst we were putting, in general a terrible visit!!

The day we played the rough was rough the greens were bad (just spiked and sanded) and the bunker not well card for. Having played there a few times before the course looked in need of TLC.

Course neglected - needs cutting as ball in rough means a lost ball virtually every time. Greens appalling, especially the ninth where the crows had pretty much destroyed it. Winter flooding had obviously blitzed this course as none of the bunkers had any sand in them!! It might be cheap, but just don\'t bother - better off going around the Bury 9 hole, unless you\'re desperate for a good walk.

Returned back as a member recently
Very good atmosphere and friendly club to play
Wet weather hasnt been kind to the course but still an enjoyable game is had.
Anybody in the Bury or near area looking for a value for money fun yet challenging course / club its worth giving it a go.

Shocking course when I visited. The weather had not been good but there\'s no excuse for presenting the course in such an appalling state.\Tee boxes were cut up badly\Many of the fairways were like a field - hadn\'t been looked at for weeks by the state of them. Covered in leaves and molehills. I lost about half a dozen balls on the fairway !!\Greens in dreadful condition.\Not a word of warning from the pro shop when I checked in.\Couldn\'t get a tea or coffee at halfway because the place was closed.\Not cheap either.\Awful. I\'ll not be returning

Very good course considering the weather, however not to keen on the temp tees they are using at the moment on some holes, i think those mats had seen better days

Played here on a Sunday and Monday weekend break. A very nice layout, but some of the greens are patchy. And 3/4 of the holes are still being played of winter mats. At the end of March we found that very disappointing
