Good can be very busy

Has three sets of 9?s beat are Hampton Somers but although Blythe is shorter has more difficulty. Has improved since they began to protect course during winter although allow a lot of dingbats to use it. Pace of play varies and members are nobs

Always like playing here. Greens were in superb conditon aas were the faiways. Lovely to be out playing after the lockdown despite 32 degree temperatures.

Played here on 14th March. Course should have been closed pushing trolleys through standing water on all 18 holes. Was part of a society with older people who really struggled to push the trolleys through the standing water and nearly fell on a few occasions. Complained at the end and said I thought the course should be closed and to pay £26.00 was too expensive. Not much interest in my complaint felt that strongly did not partake in any drinks at the bar after objected giving them any more of my hard earned cash.Definitely would not recommend based upon my experience. Customer service was very poor.

27 holes to choose from

Nice 3 x 9 hole complex with each 9 being different from the others. Well maintained, not too challenging but a few holes with water can be difficult. Nice clubhouse and well stocked pro shop. Interesting driving range hitting floating balls into targets in a lake.

Good practice facilities and good lay outs, might be a little confusing given the lay out of 3 x 9 holes but overall a good course.

Nice Choice of Holes to Play

Played here and did 9 holes in the morning on the Somers course, and 18 in the afternoon on the Hampton/Blythe courses.
There is a great variety of holes, with some interesting shots and choices to make. Water comes into play on a few holes, and some of the fairways are quite hilly or sloped to one side or the other, making for quite a good challenge (not "championship" challenge) for all handicappers. We had 2 high-handicap ladies in our 4 ball, and off the forward tees they enjoyed the day too.
The course was in great condition, and the greens were true and moderately fast.
There were some holes with quite a walk to the next tee, but these were clearly signposted.
The clubhouse & pro-shop were very friendly and helpful, we were made to feel most welcome. There is a spike bar where you can also eat, we sat outside as the weather was good, and the home made fish finger sandwiches we had were very good.
There is also a driving range where you can hit to targets out in a lake, with floating balls!! (The balls feel no different to normal range balls).
All in all, a very enjoyable day out, and we would definitely come back here, when we next visit this area.
