Nice Choice of Holes to Play
Played here and did 9 holes in the morning on the Somers course, and 18 in the afternoon on the Hampton/Blythe courses. There is a great variety of holes, with some interesting shots and choices to make. Water comes into play on a few holes, and some of the fairways are quite hilly or sloped to one side or the other, making for quite a good challenge (not "championship" challenge) for all handicappers. We had 2 high-handicap ladies in our 4 ball, and off the forward tees they enjoyed the day too.
The course was in great condition, and the greens were true and moderately fast.
There were some holes with quite a walk to the next tee, but these were clearly signposted.
The clubhouse & pro-shop were very friendly and helpful, we were made to feel most welcome. There is a spike bar where you can also eat, we sat outside as the weather was good, and the home made fish finger sandwiches we had were very good.
There is also a driving range where you can hit to targets out in a lake, with floating balls!! (The balls feel no different to normal range balls).
All in all, a very enjoyable day out, and we would definitely come back here, when we next visit this area.

Excellent
Played this course around a month ago. The change in a month is brilliant. Greens were fantastic although a few fairways had bald patches. But overall, very impressed. The bar / restaurant has been refurbished and recently opened. It is beautiful, a massive improvement on the cafe style that existed before(Round played: Mar 2019 - Score: 93 Handicap: 18.7)

Excellent Greens
this is a great course, on some holes very much resembles a links course, with tight fairways and hills full of long heather requires you to stay on the short stuff! well maintained. we played in January and the greens are some of the best i have played on. will certainly be back, a great test of golf for any handicapper.Reviewer Rating
