What the club says: The West Midlands Golf Club is an 18 Hole Golf Course built to United States Golf Association specification with the 18th hole being an island green similar to the 17th at Sawgrass, Florida. The excellent drainage allows play all year round. A buggy path allows use of golf buggies in any weather.

fantastic venue with a long and challenging course. the course was in brilliant condition given the time of year. some very interesting holes including the signature 18th which is a par 3 onto an island green.
The food, drink and service in the clubhouse was very good, When you add all this together for £25 including a buggy with course sat nav, it makes it excellent value for money.

A very good course. A challenging and interesting course for 18 and above handicap. At 6000 yards off the yellows it plays quite long. The water placement and hazards on some holes mean you have to think your way around the course. A great variety of holes, some look wide open but easy to get into trouble others more narrow and tree lined or out of bounds. Some great holes, particularly the 18th island hole. Most hire buggies with great satnav systems inside to help plot your way round the course. Paid £20 for the round with a buggy and a very nice pie and pint afterwards. Whats not to like :-)

The course was in good condition generally. Only disappointment was the amount of unrepaired pitch marks. Come on people!

Had a tee time booked at 15:00 on a Friday. It quickly became apparent that the course was very busy, as groups queued up at the first tee. Speaking to one of the other groups we discovered they had been given a tee time only 3 minutes apart from ours. As other reviewers have noted, the management seem to want to pack as many players in as possible, which unavoidably led to a slow experience. We stuck with it, and it took us around 5 hours to get round all 18 holes. In many places the course had been dusted with a good deal of sand, presumably to help drainage, which could be unnerving when a shot struck dead on the fairway kicked up a huge splash of sand. The course is enjoyable, a good variety of holes and the greens were in fine condition. Water is brought into play nicely on a number of holes, though is never too much of an issue until the 18th, which is a wonderful finish. I would have happily paid a bit more to have a less busy course, as what would otherwise have been a very enjoyable round was a bit hampered by the queueing at nearly every tee.

A delightful sunny morning, course played very well and pretty long with many holes into the wind. Greens were surprising slow but after a few holes i got used to the pace. Front 9 (51) & back 9 (44). Hired a buggy which was reasonably priced and with the green fees provided excellent value.
