Played yesterday and the course was very wet . Ive got a gps device and all the yardages on the card and boxes are wrong. The course is probaly only about 5500 yards long which makes it nice and easy.

I have played this course about eight years ago.
It has not changed as far as I can remember.
It is very hilly and does have a lot of very blind shots.
This makes this course very challenging and different to most courses as a result of the challenges it has.
The staff there are a very friendly and helpful bunch.
Great value for money and I would not hesitate to play this course again. The Course

Very hilly course, with the the holes either running up and down or across, however because its on a hill it drains well, and the fairways and greens are good. There are a couple of blind drives and some interesting par 3`s,so if your fit and active its a good challenge but forget it if your not.

One of 4 i play quite regularly (with ramsdale, norwood and oakmere). Very hilly and some challenging holes but you should score well on a nice day. Generally course is always in good nick and greens not bad either

We took the crown golf society anstey here for on of our monthly competitions. An excellent golf gourse, superb layout. a really solid test of your golfing skills. Keep it in play & you have a chance to score well, often having to play strategically to have a good approach to the greens. Greens generally very consistent with many borrows o read. A very warm welcome. A very heghly recommended venue for a round, would go back any time.

A lovely course with a welcoming atmosphere. Has some good members who are chatty and like a laugh, we had a pint with some after end of around. Only real complaints are a small 6 bay driving range to get loose on and the upper most greens (9,10,11) are covered in leaves. But in defense it was very windy. Got on a deal £25 for 2 of us to play with a buggy, a beer and sandwich, but would be happy to pay the full £23 for the round.

This course is outstanding for the price although my friend found us a very good bargain at this course, Which made it more enjoyable.
The fairways and greens are well settled and easy to come across however if you land in the ruff you will be pretty lucky to have a good lie. The course is well maintained throughout the day as i noticed alot of green keepers mowing and cleaning the fairways and greens.
Would recommend a buggie while playing at this course as it is very hilly. The Course

I have now played this course twice and both times i have not been disappointed. the green are in amazing condition and what the course lacks in length it makes up for in the tightness of its fairways where ball position counts

Played twighlight rate (£10) at 4.30 on a Sunday. Course was very busy and badly held up by inexperienced 4 balls in front.
Thought that the course was very good with a fair number of blind holes. Very hilly !
Quite a number of the par 4 and 5 were short - especially on the front 9. The biggest challange are the greens most had slopes and dips. The Course

This course is a hidden gem. A very friendly welcome and a very tidy place starts the day off well. The course is well maintained with only the odd wobbly tee box. Fairways in great condition, as were the greens apart from the odd pitch mark left by stupid people, who call themselves golfers. The layout is superb although may be a bit hilly for some but nothing to strenuous.
The only thing to let this place down was the fact that the clubhouse doesn't accept credit/debit cards. I found this out after my pint was poured and food on order.
Will play again without a doubt, with cash in my back pocket this time. The Course

Brilliant course t boxes fairways and greens are immaculate. The one thing that lets the clubhouse down is that they don't take bank cards.

We used open fairways card so , £14 on a Sunday afternoon. Course is very hilly, so not for the faint hearted. A great selection of holes with a cracking par 3 to finish on. Good modern bar which allows spikes to be worn. Would highly recommend a visit if you don't mind a few hills to climb!

Played my first round at this course as a guest (07/08/2009). Excellent course, very well maintained with a great mix a holes. The front nine seemed to be easier than the back nine, however cannot wait to play again. Greens need to be read as they are relatively quick. Course well planned and directions to each hole are clear and concise. Facilities excellent with well equiped pro-shop, clubhouse and changing facilities. Recent heavy rain has left some of the bunkers unplayable although fairways are in good condition. If lived closer would be interested in becoming a member..!
