Mapperley Golf Club
With undulating terrain across rolling countryside, the course at Mapperley provides a challenging but rewarding round. With mature trees thrown in as well, accuracy is the key to score well on this course. The long par 5 12th is one of the toughest with a sharp dog leg left, it tests both your accuracy and length of drive. The 13th again is a tricky one with a stream crossing the fairway and a well protected green. It is certainly not one for the faint hearted.

For mid Nov the course was in good condition. After reading the reviews, I was nervous of the slopes, but it wasn't too bad. The staff and members where very welcoming. On a summers day, the course will be excellent, the greens are in great conditiona nd could well live up to thier billing as some of the best in the UK. Can't wait to go back

Very hilly course, lots of sloping fairways, no real flat areas in the fairways to hit. Greens were excellent. Top tip: Buggy!

A very hot day when we played and the hills here do come in to play, but buggies are there to use.
Very nice course not overly long but some good thinking holes to keep you going. As normal you will be rewarded for being straight off the tee but the rough is not unplayable. Greens were hard and fast with some having very slight rolls making reading them tough but fun. Dont be behind the pin at 17!!!!The Course

The best all round course i've played the t boxes are all square and true, the fairways are kept really short and green, and the greens are fast and immaculate. But beware this course is very hilly and will take its toll on you. Well worth £20 of anyones money.

Tight, Very Hilly course. Lovely greens and well maintained fairways help ease the pain in the legs. Some intersting holes are sculptered into the hillside and both par 5's are a treat, best holes on the course in my opinion. One comment probably summed up the round tho... "Feel the burn", it seemed very apt as we struggled up the 18th!

This course is very well maintained. From tee to green it is in tip-top shape. It is not the longest course but is demanding, especially physically as it is in a valley, so plenty of up and downhill shots. The greens don't have any bobbles at all.
A great day out.

Very testing course on a natural hilly area, the only thing that i could knock about the course is that the greens had recently been topped dressed so made putting a little difficult but is only a temporary thing.
Everyone on the society enjoyed it, especially the meal of steak pie, chips and peas after a grueling 18 holes, couldn't have asked for anymore from the club pro Jon he made all the cards out for me prior to the event and had the markers for the longest drive and nearest to the pin at the readyThe Course

Excellent little course tucked away on the edge of Nottingham City. Good variation on hole length and generally not a long course. Carries on the tee shots to the fairways reasonably short. Only three holes have fairway bunkers and the greenside bunkers tend to be to the side. Only slightly scary shots are the tee shots on the two par 3s on the back nine. Both about 170 yds over large dips.
The difficultly of the course comes from its rolling nature so the ball tends to always be on a slope once you have hit it off the tee. The fairways on some holes are reasonably tight. If you hit it badly right or left you will be in trees.

Course in good order although surprisingly hilly for this area. You need to play a few rounds to get a feel for the course layout and shot management.
