Great Club
Second time playing here and it was as good as I remembered from the first time. Now my Skycaddie is up and running and I had my number I played it even better. It’s such a great layout with a lot of fabulous holes. You don’t need driver on every hole as placement is best for scoring well. Course was in lovely condition, a couple of the tee boxes could do with a mow if I was being critical but it had rained a lot the previous few days.Overall well worth a visit and will become of my favourites.

Quirky layout
The course has a quirky layout where you were playing across other fairways . Some blind holes where the green is reachable if you only knew where to play your shot. Great course
First time playing Oundle and I was more than pleasantly surprised, what a really nice course this is. From the guy in the pro shop asking if use played before, on telling him I hadn’t and that my Skycaddie wasn’t working he gave me a yardage book for the course, excellent service.The course is really unusual, which I love. Much hillier than I expected but that made for some nice tee shots and blind second shot. It’s not overly long, sometimes generous and sometimes not!! On busy days it could be interesting as one fairway is shared by 2 holes going in opposite directions, and others crossing over each other. But for me that adds to its quirky nature. Greens were nice and true and a nice speed. Overall condition was good and it’s excellent value. Just a shame I live 45 mins away or I’d play it much more often. Will definitely be back.

Love this course, greens a little slow but much like the rest of the course they are in excellent condition.Nice bar too and friendly staff all round.

First time playing this course. Its was great fun with some very nice holes. Holes 2, 11 and 15 either share a fairway or cross the fairway. Which makes for interesting fun. Will be back(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 84 Handicap: 16.6)

On a society day, and for me the first time playing here since December 2009. Started with a full English breakfast which many of our party of 21 agreed was the best they have had on a society day. Well looked after by the cheery staff member, and then by the bar staff after our round. The changing rooms were under renovation, but despite this, facilities were good (they have a portacabin to change in if needed. Course still has 2 holes going in opposite directions which share a fairway, and another which goes across that fairway. It was quiet enough when we played for this not to be a problem, although I wonder if it would be if the course was busier. As with a lot of clubs this year, fairways have suffered a bit with the ultra dry weather, so preferred lies was in place on fairways, allowing you to drop on the nearest bit of grass. Don't worry, I only used it once because it is not as bad as it sounds. Greens were running fast and true, although they were a little firm for my liking - couldn't stop the ball even when I struck it really clean - could have done with watering. Odd to see the first green surrounded by electric wires to stop badger damage. Bunkers seemed to be in good order, and plenty of room on the tees which were also good. Despite the crossover fairways I would like to play again, although hopefully when I'm hitting the ball a lot straighter!!

Great course worth visiting
First time here and really enjoyed the day . Some really nice holes and would go again .The course was it good condition considering the dry summer we have had . Its a shame it was the only day of the week it rained .(Round played: Aug 2018 - Score: 83 Handicap: 12.2)
