Best greens around!
Obviously there has been a lot of water of late so in places the course has been altered due to this and it has shortened certain holes.BUT don't let this detract from the fact the course is in rude condition and plays excellently. The green staff have done a cracking job and I must say the greens are really the truest around. Excellent greens!

Excellent, mature course.
Firstly, the course is extremely well looked after, money and effort are spent in equal measure to maintain a high standard year round. The course is not long but best described as tight in places and generally tricky.
The greens are quick, true and some difficult to read, a good test whoever youare!

Lovely, testing course
Lovely parkland course. Very testing at times. Ball is nearly always either above or below your feet, as mostly riggs & furrows. Course in excellent condition. Extremely friendly welcome & nice clubhouse.Reviewer Rating

Big improvements
I play Morpeth golf club annually a few times per year and this season the improvements have been unbelievable. The greens were as good as anywhere in the northeast at the minute. Fully loaded pro shop and the bar meal was very impressive.Reviewer Rating

I believe some more fairway bunkers would benefit the course to test the thinking off the tee box but in general there are parts of the course that will punish you and parts that will be forgiving for any medium handicappers like myself prone to the odd 'loose one'.
The clubhouse is excellent albeit a little old fashioned in terms of decor - but I believe that this suits the members. A good range of beers are on offer and the food is always good. However I would point out that the members here are sticklers for the dress code so make sure that you are properly attired for the course and seperately for the clubhouse!!
