Hard course even for big hitters greens very good and fairways very nice.
If you play must be on your game.

Good course, long but easy to play and keep moving as rough not to long and easy to find the ball, enjoyable

Tough Mudder

Absolute quagmire! Should not have been open.On face value a good set up but nothing more than converted farmers fields.
I couldn’t face cleaning my shoes & trolley as they are absolutely caked in mud.
Never again.

Unplayable in places

This course seems to suffer from a wet period more than most. The fairways were sodden, the rough was marsh-like in places. No evidence of drainage on the "championship" course. Greens wet but playable and pitted with pitchmarks - a sign of a hotel course
With this being a hotel course there must be pressure to keep it open in all weathers. Most courses would be closed. No signage indicating preferred lies, no trollies etc
Will be back in the spring/summer

Course was awful! Groundsman must be away on holiday. Greens were unprepared, not cut/roled, fairways was just mud. Course should be closed during winter time.

course was in awful condition ...fairway was long and had not been cut, round edge of greens was soft and spongy even after all this hot weather we have had...rough was unplayable and hard to find ball....really felt that we had been ripped off as price did not reflect quality of course! when I spoke to the course marshall he said it had been to hot to cut?? I played at mapperley the week before and it was cut superbly obviously they didnt feel it was to hot to cut !!

This used to be an affordable good quality ?green fee? course. But the quality has dropped significantly in the last year or two. The greens are in very poor condition, dry, bumpy and seemingly uncared for. Maybe a coincidence that the local pay and play course at Allestree has closed and this has led to complacency at Morley. Every visit the car park seems to be less and less busy. Need to get their act together sharpish or it?ll soon be completely empty.

Shouldnt be open

Fell sorry for people paying ?30, its basically a bog. Greens are shocking even for this time of year. Pitch marks not repaired and foot prints everywhere. Literally unputtable. Balls plugging in fairways. Course should be closed.

A boring, easily forgettable course !

Rubbish greens. 1st cut rough impossible to find your ball in. Only long hitters will like this course.

Suffered in the wet

Clay bass ground conditions mean the course is suffering badly following recent wet weather. Lost balls both on and just off of fairways where they?d plugged below ground - it was that soft. Also found one or two like this whilst searching. First time here and to be fair it looks good. Will try again in dryer conditions.

greens were very dry, hard and bumby, elsewhere the course was in good condition. Need to water the greens. Would have been very disappointed if full price was paid (paid twilight rate)

(Round played: Apr 2015 - Score: 121 Handicap: 22.8)
Course was not in good condition, some tree work going on seems to have left open spaces with bits of detritus around the edges. The greens were exceptionally poor and had hardly any grass, badly maintained and impossible to play to.
