Tough Mudder
Absolute quagmire! Should not have been open.On face value a good set up but nothing more than converted farmers fields.I couldn’t face cleaning my shoes & trolley as they are absolutely caked in mud.
Never again.

Unplayable in places
This course seems to suffer from a wet period more than most. The fairways were sodden, the rough was marsh-like in places. No evidence of drainage on the "championship" course. Greens wet but playable and pitted with pitchmarks - a sign of a hotel courseWith this being a hotel course there must be pressure to keep it open in all weathers. Most courses would be closed. No signage indicating preferred lies, no trollies etc
Will be back in the spring/summer

Shouldnt be open
Fell sorry for people paying ?30, its basically a bog. Greens are shocking even for this time of year. Pitch marks not repaired and foot prints everywhere. Literally unputtable. Balls plugging in fairways. Course should be closed.Reviewer Rating

A boring, easily forgettable course !
Rubbish greens. 1st cut rough impossible to find your ball in. Only long hitters will like this course.Reviewer Rating

Suffered in the wet
Clay bass ground conditions mean the course is suffering badly following recent wet weather. Lost balls both on and just off of fairways where they?d plugged below ground - it was that soft. Also found one or two like this whilst searching. First time here and to be fair it looks good. Will try again in dryer conditions.Reviewer Rating

greens were very dry, hard and bumby, elsewhere the course was in good condition. Need to water the greens. Would have been very disappointed if full price was paid (paid twilight rate)

Course was not in good condition, some tree work going on seems to have left open spaces with bits of detritus around the edges. The greens were exceptionally poor and had hardly any grass, badly maintained and impossible to play to.
