Mill Green Golf Club
The gently undulating landscape with its mixture of meadows and ancient woodland has enabled Peter Alliss and Clive Clark to create a challenging golf course of outstanding beauty. Throughout the course, water features, large bunkers, trees and expansive greens combine to offer a challenging, as well as a most enjoyable golfing experience. The front nine, which plays towards the small village of Mill Green itself, is both open and undulating, and by comparison the back nine plays directly towards Hertford and is noted for its narrow fairways which work their way through ancient woodland and large lakes.

Very nice course, can be busy but well presented, best holes are the last four. Clubhouse is great, very welcoming and great food and facilities.

Nice course with some challenging holes, played it in very windy conditions and would like to play again in good weather.

The greens were in a terrible state. They were almost unplayable because of the divots and ongoing works. The rest of the course was in ok condition but for the money they charge you would expect more.
The clubhouse is nice and the pro shop is ok, bit small though.
The money they charge would be ok if it was the best course in the area but its not and as such £30 for a weekday round is way too much.
I used to play this course ten years ago when it was new and it has actually got worse over the years. The Course

Greens were not great at all, there was also many other things around the course which just appeared shabby. it has potential to be a good course as some of the holes are well thought out but disappointed int he condition considering the price.

Greens are quite firm but very well kept. A short course but there are some challenging hazards as well as much of the back nine being very picturesque. Great course to play

Usually quite busy, well kept with loads of water hazards - fairly flat so a nice walk.

Two distinct nines - one very open and the other through trees. A good mixed variety of holes and its a pretty testing course especially off the white tees - where the length 6600 yards adds to the challenge.
Can get pretty busy as the membership is very active - so book in advance. The Course

Had a round here Friday, I was a bit disapointed that only the front 9 was open and the back was closed due to snow!!!! Never played here before but an extremely forgiving front 9 best suited to new player. Course condition was good and greens were nice for the weather we have been having. TRY to avoid the marshall! We came in at 9 and he started harping on that there was no time for a quick toilet break cos the 4 ball behind had 3 scratch golfers in. Makes me wonder if my money is different to theres cos to be honest our 4 ball played pretty well and not once were the breathing down our knecks. Ill go back to experience the back 9.

Very nice course, tough opening hole dog leg left.
Open front nine but the best comes in the back nine.
When you reach the tree line holes you had better be hitting straight or they could be a card destroyer. The Course

Not a favourite but i won't let that let me write a biased review. The course is generally in good condition, the greens are always pretty good so it stands up in that department. Down side's are members being too member-like (it is open for the public too remember) & price can be a little excessive. Re-built clubhouse due to the previous one being burnt to the ground..which is a massive improvement. They say they're warm & welcoming..but i'm not so sure. Part of Crown Golf.
