What the club says: The Arden course is one of the country's most spectacular challenges and host to a succession of international tournaments, including the 1997-1999 One-2-One British Masters, 2000-2002 English Open and the 2003 British Masters. It also has one of the European Tour's most distinct signature holes in its 18th; a Par 3, 202-yard hole overlooking the fishing lakes and resort.

The Aylesford Course; Golfers of all abilities will find the shorter Aylesford course a varied and enjoyable challenge. Kept to the same high standard as its celebrity sister, both courses offer a good chance that the friendly local deer will wander on to the course in this majestic countryside setting.

Yet to play the championship course as Sky were filming the midlands heat of the Trilby Tour when we booked. The Aylesford is a short course compared to most but still some very testing holes with cleverly placed traps & hazards. Greens quite quick but rewarding if the putter is on fire. Club is top notch with excellent facilities & decent pro shop. If you're looking for real value from the Forest try to get a deal on tee off times to save stinging your pocket. Overall a stylish & upmarket golf club that gives a real feel of grandeur.

A very good course which supplements the Championship Arden Course. The greens are always in excellent condition being both fast and true. A good test for any golfer at a reasonable cost. The facilities are excellent including a first class driving range, practice area and excellent food and drink facilities. (Round played: May 2014 - Score: 87 Handicap: 25.1)

I've played here a few times and overall the experience is one I would recommend. The course was in excellent condition, the fairways were great but with many unrepaired divot holes. The greens were running fast and true. This is a fairly long course and you will be hitting medium to long irons into many of the par 4's and par 3's. If you're on a budget though, beware of the extortionate prices in the clubhouse. 2 quid for a small bottle of water is daylight robbery!

Played the Aylesford course. Short and quite flat but laid out really well and in excellent condition. Greens were lighting quick.

Only a couple Par 5's and Par 3's unspectacular but good variety of Par 4 holes. Okay to bring the Driver out on pretty much most holes.

Staff in pro shop were friendly and starter also. Hut between 10th and 11th hole with vending machines was a life saver.

Would definitely recommend and play again.

Played the aylesford course which although being the junior course, was in excellent condition. Greens were excellent, fast but true with some interesting reads! fairways were in good condition and forgiving if you just missed them but stay out of the longer rough or you will find your ball hard to find.
Great facilities and staff were all very helpful. Overall, hard to fault.

Played July 2013. Score 77. Handicap 15
