Good course, not as good as the Brabazon but slightly better than the Warwickshire - need to get a deal otherwise it is over-priced.

Disappointing from previous visits

Course condition was terrible. Some tee boxes looked like they hadn't been moved for months. No divot boxes on them to repair your divots and this meant you couldn't get a stance. Greens were in terrible condition also with what looked like lots of dead patches on them. 16th green had new turf but wasn't marked off as GUR. Practice ground which also has been quality in the past was not worth going on. Real shame as I used to look forward to playing here but would think twice in the future.
Bar staff after the round where brilliant and the best part of the day.

Was really looking forward to playing this course but was left disappointed, the fairways were in good nic but the greens were awful, the worst ive played on for a long time, huge brown patches all over them and are full of disease with a lot of divets and holes in, also some of the bunkers had no sand. Not in a hurry to return.

Full of bandits

I've never known a course like the Aylesford, every member seems to be a bandit going round with 40+ points each week. Very small boring course with forgettable holes and expensive beer. Don't expect to come off this course with your fiver bet intact if you come across the Aylesford bandits. Avoid.

the grass needed cutting as it was impossible to find a ball just of the fairway and this really slowed the pace of play and with such a busy course this did not help.

I was really looking forward to playing here, and especially to playing the Arden Course. I feel I may have built up in my mind how good this was going to be, and I can honestly say I was sorely disappointed.

Some of this would be down to the weather, having played 7 days in a row in shorts and polo, this eighth day it was set to rain, and it did. This does not however explain why the greens were so slow, and inconsistent.

Fairways and bunkers were in good condition, which I expected when I saw 9 greenkeepers working on a single hole. This is obviously paid for by the green fees (£80 weekdays and £90 weekends). I can honestly say it is NOT worth this level of fees. When finished, I thought I would at least see a decent lunch considering the cost, instead of which we got sandwiches and chips - I left immediately and will NOT BE BACK.

A very average parkland course at best. Not even in the same league as the Arden course which is very good and very testing.

This is a fantastic course with very very tricky, fast greens and beautiful fairways. Lots of deer roaming around the course oblivious to the presence of golfers. Would love to play it again.
Cost of drinks in the club house horrendous and bar service slow. Stayed over on a Sunday/Monday break £109 with 1 round on Aylesford course which is fairly ordinary. Dinner in the restaurant excellent

Played the Aylesford course on 26/03/2012 - terrible, greens were awful and the the general standard of the course was poor. They do not appear to enforce any dress code on the Aylesford, it was similar to playing my local municipal, also traffic noise horrendous on front 9 from motorway. A few months back I played the Arden course for the third time, no comparison - excellent fairways, greens superb and overall very well maintained. I cannot believe that one of the reviews says that they are similar! If you are visiting PLEASE pay the extra, the Arden Championship is excellent, give the Aylesford a wide birth. Similar comments in the bar area after our round. Club and facilities are fantastic, good golf range, club shop, which you would expect.

I enjoyed the course, but can be on the pricey side. Be very careful if you are behind a society or corporate day because a round can take about 6 hours. Club house facilities are very good but hugely over priced.

Have not played this course for 10 years was looking forward to playing it i was very surprised as the greens was not in good shape having spent £200 for a 4 ball i was very disappointed, i'm thinking they are taking more care of the Arden course instead of looking after both i wont be going again as there is better value for your money out there!
