A good course with plenty of variety - mainly through the hillside layout. It is in good condition and the greens ran true. Avoid Wednesday mornings - senior day!!!

Beautiful but tight course

Close to the Birmingham boundary with spectacular views, the course is well maintained, but not for the weary of foot - the hilly course is tight and challenging for all.

Dave and his boys

A course that needs to be played, Dave and his team make the course a playable joy. If only they had the funds to put ideas into realities, how out standing and more challenging could this become.

Little Diamond

Heard about this course quite a while ago but had never played it before. Nice track but personally its a buggy for me. First few holes are up and down but fairly simple. Some great Par 3s. Considering this is a municipal I was quite impressed and would certainly go back.

Enticing and challenging. The downside walkers should know golf etiquette. On hole no. 3 kids where on the slope of the fairway we can't tee off for at least 10 mins and shouting on top of my lungs to let them get off.

Excellent value for municipal

Played here for over 30 years. Its in beautiful setting, the course has matured nicely over the years. The trees on 13th were not even planted when I first played the course. It has the tag of being a municipal, the odd time you will get the odd dog walker, the odd chav, the odd mountain biker but this is rare. The bunkers are not great and the greens could be better or mown shorter. But the set out, the fairways, the trickery of trees and other hazards means you need to play a good game to get round. On Teeofftimes you can get 18 holes for 9 quid, absolute bargain.

The course was in excellent condition, and the greens were very good. the amount of tree growth made it even more of a challenge. A good amount of elevation on the course but not so much that you need a buggy.

Testing layout and in great condition. Best pay & play in the area and as good if not better than some \'private\' courses costing over £1000/year. Well worth a visit.

As noted elsewhere, really nice for a municipal. Odd dog walkers/ roaming kids might make it slightly less enjoyable but all round a nice course.

Having played this course off and on for about 40 years i can say it is one of the best municipal courses around.Even if having a bad round it is a very scenic course,a bonus is the 19th hole[hare and hounds ] which is only 5 minutes away.

It is always lovely on the course, regardless the weather. Even after damage on some of greens, they are quickly repairing with better weather.

Great golf course . Some really challenging interesting holes well laid out shame about all the dog walkers . Never understand taking a dog on a golf course as dogs don’t understand FORE
