What the club says: Lickey Hills Golf Course is the home of Rose Hill Golf Club and was established in 1921, the land was gifted by Cadburys to be used as a golf course and is currently run by “MyTime Golf”. The course is considered to be one of the best municipal golf courses in the country. The course is an undulating parkland course with banks of forest pines and far reaching views, so if you are not quite on your game you can still enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Excellent value for municipal
Played here for over 30 years. Its in beautiful setting, the course has matured nicely over the years. The trees on 13th were not even planted when I first played the course. It has the tag of being a municipal, the odd time you will get the odd dog walker, the odd chav, the odd mountain biker but this is rare. The bunkers are not great and the greens could be better or mown shorter. But the set out, the fairways, the trickery of trees and other hazards means you need to play a good game to get round. On Teeofftimes you can get 18 holes for 9 quid, absolute bargain.

The course was in good condition despite the recent poor weather. Greens and fairways were kept well although divots did not seem to be replaced by many golfers.

I'm confused at reading the last review , I played today and the course was in great shape yes there were some wet areas and but in all the course was tidy considering its March and still cold and wet , fantastic views across birmingham from the 3rd green and lovely views across the countryside from the 18th tee worth the money and at less than £20 on any day is cheap

This course is in a bad state inhet the feeling that all money being raised is not being put back into the course which is very annoying as this place is expensove

Course is challenging and beautiful. Staff have done a lot of drainage work to improve course condition.

If this course could keep dog walkers off, it would be one off the best municipal courses in the west mids.

Great course but the facilities were a little basic which is understandable as it is a municipal course. Great potential thought :-)

I have played here many times over the years and think it is very under-rated. It did go through a bad spell when it first went out to contract park keepers but it really has improved. Some money has been spent. Yes its municipal but very attractive particularly the 18th. Its a testing course, tree lined but cut in many places, so less lost balls but still difficult shots if stuck behind a tree. Nearly always easy to get on, good deals on teeofftimes, beware for dog walkers but a cracker for the money and availability.

The course was in excellent condition, and the greens were very good. the amount of tree growth made it even more of a challenge. A good amount of elevation on the course but not so much that you need a buggy.
