Played the Melbourne Course in early November on a society day. The facilities and hospitality were first class but I have to say that the course was extremely boggy. Greens fine but fairways and rough less so. Shoes, trousers and trolley filthy by the time I'd finished. Essendon not far away and suffers from the same problem. Would not recommend playing after rain. Probably much better (and considerably more expensive) in Summer months. Course layout OK - but nothing too exceptional. Food provided was outstanding though.

We played using a special discount voucher, otherwise it would seem rather expensive. Excellent course design and challenge, especially having to hit the ball across the river on 4 holes when we lost 5 balls between the 3 of us. However, some holes were not well sign posted with many greens roped off. This did mean that we were a bit slow as it was also our first visit and we were asked to hurry up! Being advised that the ferry was not working, we walked round to the 18th, thereby taking a bit longer, as a result. But will only return if another discount voucher comes our way.

Very tough course

Lovely course, incredibly difficult greens. Top golf course.
Corporate post match care not particularly good. Bars close at 2100 which when your staying on site is not very good at all

Top course

Tricky greens, lovely views and course was in excellent condition throughout. Not cheap to play but worth the premium.

Lovely setting

First time I?d played this course. Lovely setting and some really interesting holes including plenty of water. The condition of the course - a few greens wasn't what I?d expect for a top quality track. Overall, very enjoyable, wide fairways and quite forgiving at the time of my visit - so possible to score well whilst providing a test for better players.

Awesome Course

Was entertained here and hence had a freebie round. The course is in beautiful surroundings with water playing a part on 4 holes. Greens were superfast. Course was in fantastic condition.

Stunning Woodland

Played the Palmerston in testing conditions. Course was in good condition. Tees, fairways and rough were in well manicured condition. Greens were slightly slow but ran fairly true. Bunkers were well raked and tidy. A bit of cut grass lying about which looked a bit shabby but nonetheless a stunning course, and a fantastic layout. Challenging course.

Interesting course

Some nice and holes and strange holes, very indifferent green speeds. Nice touch finishing over the water on 18.

Beautiful courses in great condition

We were lucky to be able to play both the Palmerston and the Melbourne. Both courses were in excellent condition and proved a test for the whole group. A warm welcome and excellent facilities greeted us on our arrival. The academy was excellent allowing a good warm up before our rounds. Would play again.
