A lot of effort has gone into revitalising the course, very true greens.

Great course
Staff and food amazing, course in great condition for time of year. Green rolled very true but very tricky as not a flat straight putt to be had.(Round played: Feb 2018 - Score: 97 Handicap: 19.4)

2 great courses
played both the Melbourne and the Palmerston on consecutive days and they are in excellent condition, with both having there own challenges and being different courses in many ways.(Round played: Jun 2017 - Score: 99 Handicap: 21.7)

Course was in good condition given the time of year and the recent wet weather. It is clearly not played on very often as it appears to be shut for most of the week, but open at the weekend. We had to carry which wasn't a problem and the course as clearly been set up to manage the winter use i.e. pins tight to front of the green on every hole, mats on most par 3. The course played fair and tight, and my dad and I had a great round. The holes are varied and have some interesting elevation changes. It helped that I had played here before as there are a number of blind tee shots. The best hole for me was the 4th. A long par 4 dogleg left, straight downhill and then back up to a large green. The course was empty and we were only 2 of 7 people to use the halfway hut! I actually won this round no Facebook, but I do not think I would pay the normal green fee of £100 odd to be honest. Clubhouse was expensive, and I found it a bit off that the visitors section didn't have any heating! The practice facilities were the best I have ever used. Overall, a great day and would recommend to anyone.

Lovely place to play golf. Great course and practice facilities were second to none. Only had one issue and that was the 17th green. Pin position was championship places but the 17th was a joke. 3 of us had uphill puts from about 8 feet and when two of them get within a inch of the hole then role back past where they started its not on. Apart from that amazing course.

2 lovely courses at Brocket Hall with the Palmerston my favourite. Although the Melbourne has many of the signature holes (based around the River Lea), the Palmerston is more enjoyable as an inland course, similar to the Marquess at Woburn. Fantastic practice facilities too.
