Fantastic

I have played this course several times and the wind always seems to blow! Still, considering that there is nothing between it and the Urals its hardly surprising. Difficult opening four holes and a couple of par 5's where the drive is almost irrelevant. Very good par 3's and the index 1, par 4, is extremely difficult in the prevailing wind. Very friendly staff and great value. Overall, try it and see what you think. I will certainly be going back.

great value, very friendly, probably the hardest opening 7 holes I have ever seen don't try off the whites unless clinically insane, greens very good, fairways not quite matured, bunkers untidy, but overall for a tenner can't complain at all

LOOKING GOOD
Barkway is looking very good the mower has a blunt blade i think leaving some longer grass on fairways green are the best they have been in a longtime and staff are always welcoming(Round played: Jun 2021 - Score: 106 Handicap: 28.3)

Was very impressed with the course conditions, greens and tee boxes immaculate and much better than some much more expensive courses I've played recently. Will definitely be back again, great value.

Good greens and some interesting holes. Very challenging off the whites. Green fees are very cheap for the quality of the course.

VERY GOOD CONDITION FOR THE COST
Could not fault condition of the course,1st 3 holes challenging (well placed ditches), Most holes wide fairways very little ruff but tree line which takes away the feel of farmers fields. 5 par 5s only 3 par 3s. Over all worth a crack if only cos it's so good value for money. Noticed it boasts no temporary tees or greens guaranteed.Reviewer Rating

Excellent course, long holes with broad fairways. Generally pretty quiet and excellent value for money. Currently ?12.50 for a midweek round. Greens are in brilliant condition currently. Various drainage ditches on the course catch out the unwary.
