Ansty Golf Centre
Generally, the course is quite forgiving and doesn't seem to have many defences at first, but there are more than a few surprises at Ansty. Shoot a good score round here and you'll feel quite proud of yourself. There are quite a few difficult and challenging holes, with a number of water filled obstacles, while the undulating fairways throw up some tight approach shots required to guarded greens. Can't agree with some of the reviews on here, maybe the course has had a bit of money spent on it in the last couple of years. I'd heard some not so great things about the course, such as it being a nightmare to get round because of the volume of people being squeezed in, and it being a bit rough around the edges. Playing at the end of January I was expecting the course to be in poor condition, like most pay and plays are at this time of year. The course was, in actual fact, in fantastic condition, fairways cut short, greens running true, and not a poor hole on the whole 18. Its not too tough a test if you know your way round and presents a lot of opportunities to get shots back. My only criticisms would be that I felt that the stroke index on some of the holes didn't make sense, and the clubhouse has seen better days.

A farmers field with flags in, made me feel physical sick and ashamed of myself not only because it is dreadful but because I'd gone there in the first place and didn't walk in after 2 holes.The scruffiest roughest golf course i have ever seen.

£20 a round weekends, played today very busy and had to queue on almost every hole, appeared they had over booked! Greens in good condition and all quick despite the damp weather.
Will definately be playing there again in the near future weather permitting!
