Challenging, Rewarding and Beautiful!

Probably slightly bias as a member, but this course always impresses me. Although not massively long it's a challenge with the undulation, that forces you to have to think your way around. It penalises being out of position and rewards from the fairways. The greens a quick and true with plenty of optical illusions and subtle breaks.

In the Hertfordshire Countryside

A most enjoyable course on a fine sunny day in the countryside. Suitable for the average golfer. Well laid out with some good challenging holes.

What a great course, if you dont hit your drives where you want them to go, you can get punished.
I feel it is a strategic course and puts your course management into play here.
The greens are quick. Please do read the flag colours as these will help you to position your ball better. Overall a very enjoyable course amd would certainly go back again. In my view 10/10

The best

In my view one of the best courses in Hertfordshire. Every hole is different and you need to put your ball in the right position to allow you a decent shot in. Greens are quick with plenty of subtle undulations. Fairway bunkers are well placed!. Hole 14 is one of the most difficult par 3's you will encounter. Everyone will remember holes 12 and 13 (over the hedge down and then back up).Lovely finishing hole over the last by the clubhouse.

Considering the amount of rain we have had in December and many other golf courses being flooded, the course at Aldwickbury was beautifully presented and whilst wet, was in incredible condition for this time of the year. The bunkers were kept excellently and sadly were placed in very good conditions to catch my ball. To get around Aldwickbury, you really have to think about every shot and it will reward you for doing so.

2nd Visit

Played here during the summer and thought it was great so returned for another game this weekend. The course is a really good test and it’s always nice to visit a club that genuinely feels like it welcomes visitors. Pleased to say that the return visit was just as enjoyable and having been impressed by the quality of the greens before, I can’t believe how good they still are at this time of year. Wish I lived closer!

Excellent track

Really nice course, back nine especially interesting with 12, 13 and 18 good par fours. Quite hilly so be ready for a challenge.

Greens were top quality for October.

Great course. Worth a visit

We only get to play this course once a year, but it is always a pleasure - and a challenge! Due to recent weather conditions, the rough was penal, but the fairways and greens were in superb condition. Nice late breakfast pre round, but the kitchen had closed early evening, so did not stay for dinner. Looking forward to playing again next year!

A fantastic club deserving of its growing reputation. The greens are outstanding, there are many interesting holes with superb views over the local countryside. The food in the clubhouse was very tasty and our fourball had a superb time during our visit. Thoroughly recommended!

Starting to dry up nice

Great large fast greens with many twist n turns once you make the green. A few wet patches from the wet weather that week but all courses need that after last years amazing summer
