The course, which is kept in excellent condition and open all year round (weather permitting), has a well-deserved reputation for being suitable for all categories of golfers and 'The Common' as stated by Ken Brown, is one of the most friendly Golf Clubs in Hertfordshire. Hertfordshire County Scratch and Tigers matches are regularly played here as well as a full programme of Mens, Seniors, Ladies, Juniors and Mixed Competitions.
Harpenden Common golf course has eleven holes set on the Common and a further seven holes which were designed by Ken Brown in 1996. As you will see from the course planner, the first is a par 4. This runs past the clubhouse parallel to the 18th. As you move round the course each hole has its own character.Book a Tee Time

Always a good test with 2 types of course in 1. There is the old 9 holes which is more mature and situated on common land - be careful of the horses and dog walkers! The other 9 is more open, but the trees are starting to grow and this will be very demanding over the next couple of years. Greens are generally good and I always enjoy the course whenever I play there.
