At the Southport Golf Academy we have a range of facilities, including a 20-bay floodlight driving range, practice putting greens, a 9 hole golf course and a 18 hole golf course which is currently in development. A challenging layout awaits you at the Leisure Lakes Golf Academy, with every hole offering a different test. Two tier greens built to USPGA specifications and rivetted bunkers will provide a stern examination for the accomplished golfer, water hazards and the addition of over 500 trees give the new golfer a stimulating environment to learn the game over a manageable 1'350 yard nine-hole golf course. Not called Leisure Lakes any more - now Southport Golf Academy. Lots seem to have been spent on it - course in good condition and as other reviewers say its ideal for a nice short game. Was busy when we were there Saturday in January - had to wait for tee time - always a good sign! New changing rooms and toilet facilities open and good cafe on site.

very tidy and compact course for a nine hole.got a bit confusing when asked to take lunch when playing 18 holes due to booking system

Great course for a small round or practice. Greens in exelllent condition. Driving range on site for extra practice. Exellent cafe on site serving good grub. Tuition available too. All said a great place for golf beginners to all abilities.
