What the club says: Hurlston Hall is the daring dream of a farming couple brought to reality by the distinctive, imaginative ideas of internationally renowned golf architect Donald Steel. Hurlston Hall is recognised for its rolling fairways, seven lakes, two streams, thousands of trees and splendid, subtle greens. Also notable is the luxurious clubhouse, which boasts three bars and a panoramic view of the surrounding golf course and distant Pennines.

Course was in good condition. The rough is a lot shorter than years gone by, giving you a more generous target off the tee. Although there are hazards on the majority of holes that are potential card wreckers. Being able to move the ball both ways off the tee is definitely an advantage with numerous dog legs to conquer. Tough track for the average golfer who will do well to shoot their handicap at the first attempt.
This club has everything to offer, a great bar and club house with excellent practicing facilities and extremely friendly and helpful staff. All in all a great day, we enjoyed it that much we are thinking of becoming full time members.

(Round played: Sep 2015 - Score: 96 Handicap: 21.2)great day all in all green fantastic as well as the staff
The rough on this course is unforgiving, and the course is long which is tiring. greens in pretty good condition but slower than they look. on approach shots everyone in the 4ball experienced a number of very strange bounces off the fairway - which probably implies either very solid ground under the turf or rocks and stones just beneath the surface. Pleasant and professional staff.
in summary its certainly improved since we were last here 4 years ago, and we will definitely return.
