played the course after hearing about how good they had set it up..found it to be a very good course with some challanging holes ..facilities were top notch ..but the price is way over the odds for a nine hole course, there are other courses in the area that offer better value for money like tinsley and thorne for a start.but overall a good course

Nice course, pity it's only a 9 holer that you play twice and too expensive too. The driving range and putting & chipping areas are brillaint.

I have played this course twice now and have thoroughly enjoyed it, even the driving range is kept in tip top condition, the par3 4th is very tricky but both times iv had it on the green in 1 so im very impressed even to say iv only played 4 rounds of golf ever!! its a shame its not a full 18 hole course as id love to see what other holes they could come up with, the tee's and greens are in fantastic condition, the tricky part is the fairways, for a beginner like my self there very very tight!!!

A new comer to the game (nearly 64), having played cricket I missed the fresh air and exersize. The son in law gave me his old set of clubs about 3 months ago (the swine). He's got me adicted. Just been round the Waterfront - 3rd visit, the greens are superb, but oh those blessed tight fairways, its cost me more in balls than the price of the round!
Still my claim to fame has to be that 4th hole - I parred it!

very well kept greens and fairways . challenging and very punishing of wayward tee shots. brilliantly tough 4th hole, an uphill 207 yard par 3 with a blind green. played 8 or 9 times and not made par on that one yet.

Played this course a few times now & have never been disappointed. Fairways are always in excellent condition, as are the greens even in wet weather. As people have said previously it helps to be accurate off the tee as there are plenty of trees but if you do find yourself in the trees there are plenty of balls in there to replace the 1 or 2 you have just hit in there.
The only slight gripe I have is the price of £14 for 18 holes when it is difficult to get 18 in as it is a 9 holer & you cant always guarantee a tee time for the 2nd half especially at the weekend.
Roll on the Spring & Summer when we can play it without the gale force winds & the wet grass.

Excellent and well looked after coarse with panaoramic views across the Dearne Valley and wetlands that can't be seen from anywhere alse. The strong points are the tight approach to some greens. This is a challenging course in comparison to other courses nearby, and will just keep you coming back for more. My favorite part of the coarse and probably the strong point are the greens, which are consistent throughout every hole with regards to the firmness and texture/length of the grass. I have played this coarse many times in different conditions from very wet to very dry and and they have never disapointed unlike some other coarses. The signature hole is the 4th hole where you shoot from an elevated tee position across a ravene up to an even more elevated Green. Oh Yes there is a pond on the left as well on this hole, and the 6th.

The facilities are second to none, having a driving range, Multiple practice area's from grass tees, for short irons up to about a 6 iron, practice bunker and the biggest putting green I have ever had the pleasure to step upon. The club house and staff are very freindly and always happy to help, as is the club professional.

A brand new course of nine holes. Very good layout 8 of the nine holes are tight and accuracy is a must. The tees and greens are in good condition, we played recently when it had been raining very heavily non stop for about 8 hours and while a lot of courses were shut there was no water on any green. The fairways need a bit longer to grow but overall worth playing very good value for money. Take plenty of balls if you are a bit wayward off the tee.
