Lovely looking course with friendly helpful staff and a very comfortable bar and lounge. I played the Castle course as a guest on a wet winter's afternoon and the fairways were excellent if a little sticky. However, the greens were patchy and poor and the tees were just about nonexistent! The poorest I have seen on any public or private course in 40 years. More weeds, mud and animal holes than grass. Completely let the course down and I cannot understand how a golf course would let the facilities get so poor.

Boggy fairways. Bumpy greens. Miserable old man in the pro shop. Not for me. Bedford golf course is better and it closed six months ago!

Wow...what can you say about this place, where do you start! The moment you drive in and fall down the pot holes on the entrance drive you just know your in for a bad experience, then you go in the clubhouse and are greeted by a motley crew of staff and that’s being kind it’s a shambles. The shop was ok apart from the miserable looking guy working in there it just gets worse though....then you play the golf course and you wished you would have fallen in one of the potholes and never come out, worse course I have ever played and I have played all over the world and a lot of courses in this country greens were terrible, fairways awful, the whole course was tatty looking are there greenkeepers working here because I didn’t see any and if there are well I’m not sure they really care. Beadlow has got a bad reputation but I wanted to see for myself as I have a good friend that plays there so he invited me to play...never again and he said he won’t be renewing his membership and lots others feeling hard done by within the club.

Just avoid the place it’s a total waste of money! In fact it’s not that good...sorry folks!

Played the course with a member and was horrified how bad the greens are...he informed that the water system hasn’t worked properly for years and the owners will never want to invest any money into getting it to work properly, saw members of the greenstaff on there phones nobody looks like they care...the whole place looked run down and neglected I feel sorry for the members who would have parted with good money to join such a shambles!

Very Poor!!

The place is such a mess from the moment you drive in. Boarded up and dilapidated buildings all around!! We had to play the Baroness because the Baron was down to 9 holes as the newer 9 greens had been 'lost'!! Why? The course was in a really poor condition. Tees were long, fairways were covered with weeds and the greens were dreadful. They were very slow and had lots of bare patches and long grass laying on them. I Played in a Club Match so thankfully didn't have to pay a green fee but to be honest £10 would be too much. There are much better courses near by to play golf on.

Course in need of a serious cut

Beadlow courses seems to be in need of some good groundsmen because this was not good at all. Fairways with long grass, far too much grass that has been cut left laying in clumps to catch your ball and the greens have more moss and compacted mud than grass. Altogether not great for golf

Absolute rubbish

Very very poorly maintained, greens and tees were more like ground under repair. No difference between fairway and rough
