excellent day out here! bought for a gift for Christmas and wow what a place.
course immaculate and a real test for any level of golfer. tight and winding fairways with shot shaping a must. went in confident playing off 7 and got totally destroyed but a lovely course so didnt bother me.
thoroughly enjoyable.

Great Layout

Luton Hoo was great to play .... book in by phone, pay on the day, staff were great. The best feature is the course layout .... play over water, doglegs left and right, big trees in the right places, open expanses. ... greens that are not flat and make you think, undulating fairways... slightly more expensive than I would normally pay ... greens as you might expect post winter.

Superb

I was bought a 2 ball voucher for fathers day and the service from start to finish was impeccable. The voucher included breakfast and a 2 course meal after golf, the food in the Brasserie was somewhat underwhelming however Steven was fantastic and very welcoming. The golf shop I felt could be better stocked as had no female clothing which disappointed my wife. The golf staff were first class and extremely friendly especially Rob the starter.
The golf course was a great challenge and set up like a resort with wide fairways, we thoroughly enjoyed our day and cant wait to visit again to perhaps stay overnight.

Quality Service

I stayed at Luton Hoo as part of a residential group last weekend and found the whole experience to be first class. The pro shop team were simply fantastic and looked after us from the moment we arrived. As a group we have travelled to many different venues in the UK and we found Luton Hoo to be the most welcoming, Craig the manager took control of our group and spoke to us all in the 19th bar to explain all aspects of our stay and we have never had this before at any venue!
The greens were perfect and fairways naturally playing extremely firm.
We are looking to rebook for next year, Thankyou Luton Hoo

Stunning

I played Luton Hoo last week using a red letter voucher that included breakfast and lunch.
It was a struggle to find the correct parking as the signage was unclear, so we ended up in a field near the driving range. Once arrived at the pro shop the golf team were fantastic! We were given a full brief of the resort and guided us into the 19th bar for breakfast.
The course was in great condition, the fairways very dry but the tees and greens were immaculate.
One of the greenkeepers we passed many times during our round. He was extremely courteous and switched off his mower when we were hitting, my friend and i joked that we wish it happened at our club. (Found out post round his name was Ben)
Food after the round was very good and we had a great day.

Top notch

Played luton hoo a week ago as a first time visitor. The pro shop staff were amazing, one of the golf team noticed me lost in the car park and came over to help. Then drove me to the shop in a buggy. I was a 1 ball and ended up playing with one of the members who I got talking too on the putting green.
Course was very good, long but enjoyable. Didn't get time to go to the range as was running late, but can't wait to come back soon. Just recently moved to Harpenden so this place is ideal!

Impressed!!

Played many times over the years and Luton Hoo is always a go to, especially over the winter months as it drains well. I took 3 clients with me this time as I thought it would be the perfect venue. Andy in the pro shop was really helpful upon check in and made us all feel very welcome. We played on a saturday and wanted to go for breakfast before the round but was told it was residents only, however we managed to get some bacon rolls from the pro shop. The course was immaculate for the time of year.
The greens were really fast and smooth, tee boxes great, fairways good (apart from a couple). It seemed they had been cutting all the rough down which helped me!
When we finished the round i asked a chap in the pro shop if we could get lunch and he told us the brasserie, however once again we were told it was residents only! So we went to the bar next to the pro shop but no food was available apart from pizza slices which was really disappointing.
All in all it was a great day out once again just inadequate off course facilites for golfers. Hopefully there is more options in the summer as will definitely be back.

Great Day!

Played the course 2 weeks ago for the first time and had such a great day. I am part of a surrey membership that recently included Luton Hoo to their options and I really cant wait to return. The staff was fantastic and made us feel very welcome, I spoke at length with Craig the Pro after my round and he took the time to tell us about the reasoning behind why there are no bunkers and was so friendly. The course was in great condition and loved the layout. The prices in the bar i must say were extorniate but none the less didnt affect our day.
Look forward to returning soon!

Fast greens

Course was looking really good considering the wet weather. The greens were surprisingly fast and rolling very true. Glad to see the thick rough being cut down, won't lose as many balls now!!
