Lindfield is a very compact parkland course that you need to be hit the ball straight on. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the facilities are excellent.

Excellent value

The course is being improved and remains a wonderful open space to play golf. Well worth a visit, long and wide and very fair for new golfers.

Much better condition this time

Can see a lot of work has gone into the course in the last year. Greens a bit slow but true and no bare patches.Fairways distinct and plenty of run off areas. Like most courses at present, bunkers raked but no new sand. Mind you had rained for the last couple of days so could be doing the greenkeepers an injustice. Yellow tees a bit worn out and white in need of a cut. On the whole a pleasure to play.

Great course

This is a very well looked after for a cost effective course. Some interesting holes but general quite a forgiving course with plenty ways back onto your own fairway.

What I liked about the course was that if (when!) my ball took a right or left turn I was majority of the time I was able to find it.
What I didn't like was the Golf Academy horde (that's what it felt like at times sorry to say with the shouting) behind us for the 1st nine.

Played with society first time in a number of years, pleasantly surprised with the condition of the course and the greens. Will definitely return in the near future.

Played first time on Sunday 28th July , our new favorite course in Sussex . As a 28 handicap this is the course for you . Only wish we had discovered it a few years ago . Very forgiving from tee to green . All three of us , myself Bungle , The General & Little Legs (playing for the first Ryan Harley Memorial Shield Open by the way ) all agreed that best course we have played within 30 mins of Brighton . Spanish waiter gives you free tips on how to play the course as well . Greens were really lush . Only water to be found was in the holes , so after putting out you get a clean ball ! , a brilliant idea that more expensive courses should look in to . After the first nine you pass the driving range , so on the way back to the bar you can off load any old balls you may have found . We loved it and will be back this Sunday .

After a deluge of rain over the last week the course was rather boggy. The first green was like a sponge but to be fair most of the greens were ok after that. The course is built on a hill - you spend most of the round playing down the slope, then up, then down, then up etc... a brief respite from this for holes 12-14 then back to it.

However, it is fairly cheap, very friendly and I come back from time to time if I fancy a quick knock-around. Fairly forgiving and a course that can be attacked.

Played here a few times before with society. I enjoy it and find it a good test as a high handicapper but with all the recent rain it is very wet so winter rules still in force. All tees
