Very nice. Although short in yardage the hilly terrain make some holes tricky than you think looking at the card. The 1st/10th was my favourite hole, this is particular tough from the white tees. Must be one of the hardest opening holes around the Sussex area.
Really enjoyed it here, would play again. Good value at £16.50 at the weekend. hcp 17

Played 13/09/09 dull windy day. Looked at the card before I played 5066yds oh yeah! leave my woods at home. I didnt and was thankful. What you gain on the length you loose on the wind, the hiiliness and the smallish undulating super fast greens. Oh and did I mention the very penal rough. If you are lucky enough to find it in the rough lets hope you can get your club to it. The tees, fairways and greens were all of a good standard although divots came out too dry for my liking, but thats me. I play off 15 and lost my all my 3 shots whithin 5 holes on back 9. ( harsh ). This is a 9 hole course with 2 totally different tees on each hole. No queing and no build up on the 1st/10nth. Overall I was pleasantly surprised and think I will play again.

I've played this course since it opened and it has developed well. Some long and challenging holes; the greens are coming along well. Splendid views.

My local course - very handy for 9 holes after work. Relatively short but quite challenging especially for someone like me with a handicap in low 20's. The course has 9 holes with 18 tees - the back nine playing easier than the front. There are glorious views and the course undulates a lot.
The first is by far the most daunting with a narrow fairway target which slopes from R to L for the drive and then the second shot has to miss the tree. But the green is reachable in two/three if it goes right. The ninth is a long slog uphill all the way.
A good clubhouse (by Scandia Hus) opened in the last view years and they offer good food and a range of drinks but often it is shut at 8pm in the summer which is frustrating for the twilight rounds in the middle of the week.

This is a delightful little course, suitable to all golfers, the sloopes and undulations are good practice for anyone, particularly the 1st hole, a daunting start requiring an accurate right to left tee shot and a gruelling uphill 9th, you'll need a cup of tea and a slice of cake after this hole, particularly if heading out for a second 9 from the alternative tees.
Ideal for beginners as the atmosphere is very relaxed and the staff will make you feel welcome.
You'll struggle to find a public course with the views this has and the condition of the greens for better value anywhere in the country.

I have played this course for a few years now - ever since I took up golf. Only 9 hours (with dual tees) which lets it down a bit. However the setting, views, undulations in the course and price make it worth going back occasionally. Difficult 1st - especially in the summer when the ball just keeps rolling left. The course has been gradually improved over the years. Recommend for a cheap 9/18 holes or very much so if you are a beginner - definately no snobbery here!!
