Lindfield Golf Course (formerly Paxhill Park) 6120 yards, Par 70, SSS 69 It is a parkland course in the Sussex Weald founded in 1990 and designed by Patrick Tallack. The course tests and rewards skilled golfers yet still enables the enthusiastic amateur to enjoy a good game. It presents well-drained fairways and greens and excellent year-round playing conditions maintained by quality staff. It is surrounded by sites of outstanding natural beauty and is bordered on its southerly side by the River Ouse. There are water hazards on the 5th, 13th, 14th and 18th. The finishing holes have every attribute: the 426 yard 14th is a character builder with a longish second shot to an elevated green with out of bounds on the right and the 407 yard 18th has a lake in front of the green.Book a Tee Time

It is a bit up and down but you still have to make the shots! Some nice par 3s and the greens are excellent for a course of this standard. Overall, good value, well priced course for the mid to high handicapper.

Played here a few times before with society. I enjoy it and find it a good test as a high handicapper but with all the recent rain it is very wet so winter rules still in force. All tees

Very good value (booked online). Nice and forgiving course. The greens are often not too great and today were atrocious as they had been cored, with some cores left behind.
Nice friendly clubhouse.

Played on a wet Saturday in October 2010 as part of a school fundraiser. Prior to playing I had not heard good things about the layout of the course with many suggesting it was very samey. However, I was pleasantly surprised. I do not play a lot of golf and am a mid-high handicapper so really enjoyed the course despite the weather.
There are many holes next to each other but there is sufficient interest in holes 10 to 14 to make an enjoyable round. The last hole can be testing.
We had a society type package with tea/coffee & bacon bap on arrival and a simple 2 course dinner at the end. Both were good. The clubhouse feels nice and there looks to be a formal dining area for the restaurant. However, the place is in the middle of nowhere really so I imagine they struggle to get people through the doors.
Overall a good experience and I'll be back for the next fundraiser.

Played here a few times now in societies. Not too testing. Quite boring up and down holes. Only 1 hole out of 18 is a sort of dog leg (12th). Quite good condition on tees and greens, fairways good nick also. Couln,t hold a ball on the green from more than about 70yds to hard. Better courses, more testing, interesting nearby. Nice breakfast.

the holes on the course were almost all the same however the greens were in good condition. although seemed a bit boring after the 5th hole.

From tee to green the course was in reasonably good condition, unfortunately the greens were shocking as they had been tined earlier in the week and the green staff had added a beach to each green. To make matters worse there were chunks missing in the greens and tyre tracks across them. Putting was a joke. The staff had made no mention of this when paying £25 and the shop was shut after the round. A formal complaint will be forthcoming.

Getting better and better each time I play. The East Sussex youth academy is based here so be prepared to be humiliated by a nine year old who can hit it 300 yards with a 7 iron.
The clubhouse is friendly and welcoming, The greens are really improving and some of the planting is taking shape.

Not a good design, and has not been well maintained in many years. New owners took over about 3 years ago and some improvements have been made. Ideal for learning the game, the academy and teaching has started to get a good reputation. May benefit from a re vamp of the layout and a change in hole rotation, it's a bit up and down in places.

I was a member last year, the course has improved a great deal the par 4 7th up the hill is a very hard hole, a par is excellent.

This course has come on in leaps and bounds this year - the improvement in course condition and particularly the greens is amazing. It is forgiving for beginners but also offers some challenging holes for better players so it has something for everyone - our society has played here twice this year and we all think it is great value.

Fairly compact "up and down" course with plenty of long straight fairways to practice banging out your drives - if you miss, you will probably be on the adjacent fairway!! The have spoilt the best hole (par 4 9th) by bringing the green forward and making it a basic par 3 in order to accomodate the academy.
