What the club says: In the southern coast of Tenerife, just bordering the sea, we find Amarilla Golf and Country Club. From the course you will enjoy the incredible views of the majestic Mount Teide. During your round you are surrounded by a broad variety of typical canarian flora. The designer of the course, Donald Steel, was able to take advantage of the beautiful contrasts of the Island to achieve a varied course between ravines and the Atlantic Coast. From the first tee, the player discovers the spectacular ocean views. The most impressive part of the course reaches its peak at the 5th hole: This is truly a gem for golf lovers, where the sea becomes a fairway, making it necessary to cross it in order to reach the green.

Wonderful course, well kept fairways and greens which were quite tricky. Plenty of hazards to keep you concentrated, great for mid and low handicappers. Take a camera with you the views of the mountains and the sea were spectacular. A really friendly club with friendly members my favourite out of the four I played at.

Lovely course and good value for money after 3pm. Spectacular holes along the coastline particularly the 5th and there are some very challenging Par 5, which require precise tee shots.

Amazing views. Fantastic and challenging course (quite tight). Greens and course in fantastic condition.

Just back from a week in Tenerife. Played the course twice starting early (7:30ish). The whole course was in excellent condition with greens running true & fast and the fairways were hard. It is, like all holiday destination courses that I have played, busy & not everyone follows the practices we would like such as repairing pitch marks but this was not too bad.

Staff were very helpful - particularly after a mix up over tee times prevented me from playing 9 holes one afternoon. I was given a complimentary full-18 holes.

Most people do use buggies but the electric trollies that are available are ideal providing you do not play at the hotest part of the day.

Holiday Golf! Hired a set of clubs at the club, pro cleaned them, good set of Callaways, light carry bag, cost 35 Euros (plus 80 for the round, could have got it cheaper if booked online). Had to rush to get to the 1st tee as it was quite busy. The course is as before with rocks and boulders surounding some of the fairways, giving it an unfinished look, a sign of the times I guess, as there are a lot of unfinished and unsold properties around the course as well. 5th is a memorable par 3 over the sea. The course plays quite short, so would probably use irons off some of the tees, if I played again, to avoid some of the unseen hazards (rocks etc). a couple of the greens looked diseased and they don't repair pitch marks. Overall an expensive round but enjoyable.

i have just played over the new year the condition is still not good the course is fine but the rubish is still there the price in tenerife for golf is much to high to attract any one this is the best by far for value as they are the only one where you are welcome to play with the members sun,tue and thu at a great saving and play in a competition because of the hospitality i will mark it up

18 Hole course spread over a large area.....

A buggy is a must!

Tough test awaits especially if the wind gets up - condition of the course wasn't to bad but is let down by the rubble and rubbish alongside ever hole! Almost looking as if unfinished!

Well over priced - try the Golf Del Sur down the road - better value!
