Good value and friendly
I\'m relatively new to golf, playing some 14 months so very much a beginner in my opinion. I decided to try out the 18 as I had a day off and have wanted to since first visiting the driving range. Teeing off between 11am and 2pm is a mere £14 (£8 thereafter) during the winter season which is great value for money.\\Onto the course, the first thing I noticed is that the holes are rather confined, with lack of signage which can lead to some confusion in identifying the right fairway! But with the course map I was able to get around OK, it will for sure be much easier on my next visit.\\The course was generally well kept, my hopes were not too high given the price but the fairways in partiulcar looked great and well as the majority of the greens. Many of the bunkers lacked sand but to be honest I didn\'t expect them to be great given the time of year and recent weather.\\The course has some interesting holes, particularly the 5th (i think) which features a fairway over a steep crest, followed by a par 3 back down. \\Overall worth a visit for a quick 18 (took me about 3 hours) and a friendly cost clubhouse waiting at the other end.Reviewer Rating

Bedfordshire's little gem
Quirky course not long but you need every shot in your bag there are some easy holes that you can make birdies on but be aware there are some holes that you can and will make double and treble bogey's on.It is family run club food is excellent and good value I for one am pleased we found this little gem in Bedfordshire.

Enjoyed It
Played here June , 2020 .Undulating , good views ,short on the card but with lots of interesting holes .This was my first time here having been put off a bit by the short yardage of the course & some of the reviews but it was much better than i was expecting .
When i walked around the back of the clubhouse to the 1st tee it felt a bit underwhelming & the 1st and 10th tee shots are quite tight being affected by trees but really this is the only underwhelming area of the course .
The holes work their way up to the top of the course & you return up there on the back 9 .These high holes have a tranquil , natural ,almost linksy feel to the them.
The shortness on the card is offset by the undulations & the smallness of some greens where it is tricky to get up & down .
The course was in nice condition & my favourite stretch of holes was from 13 to 16 .
On another review i read someone said they only got their driver out 3 times but i am a mid single figure player & used it 8 times ,so you can use it .
It is hilly in places & there are some walks between greens & tees & although we got a deal the standard £25 weekday green fee is excessive .
Only about 6 minutes from the M1 motorway so easy to access .
Overall it was good fun , a bit different & i would play here again.

Bar area is a bit old dank, but the staff were nice enough. Pro-shop folks were friendly but the range is overpriced and the balls are in a shocking state.
Okay course for a beginner, but that's about it.

Enjoyed it again
Played here April 2021My 2nd visit here & i enjoyed it again .Although short on the card the holes are well designed with the landscape with a lot of interesting and unusual holes .The course shortness is offset by the greens being smallish & sometimes difficult to hold .The fairways were good but on the visit the greens weren't at their best although they putted reasonably .They probably need some rain & some more time to recover .
We played on the Tuesday afternoon after Easter & the course was fairly empty so i would rather have this with slightly ropey greens than a course that is packed out as many courses are at the moment .The club could reduce the green fees a bit at the moment to reflect the greens .
Overall ,although it's a bit hilly it's good fun .

Very hilly
A lovely challenging course in Bedfordshire. Busy and friendly but no one pushing despite us being a little slow. The course is set into a hillside, some holes go up, some down and some across, all with different challenges. Good fun to playReviewer Rating
