What the club says: Chalgrave Manor Golf Club is set in 150 acres of rolling Bedfordshire countryside. At 6,398 yards from the white tees, it is a good club golf course, and with 5 par 5's (one of which is amongst the longest in the country at 621 yards). The shorter par 3 tenth hole often gives good cause for memories, with the lake stretching from tee to the green. The tricky tenth also has a sloping green which has seen a good golfer 7 putt from less than 12 inches! The Captain's Charity Fund swells by 50p each time someone goes in the water!!

This is a maturing course and at times leaves a lot to be desired. The greens where very patchy when we played. Clubhouse bar staff not very friendly but having said that, the course is set in beautiful countryside and has loads of potential. The par 3 1oth is an exceptional hole andthe stting superb. Cost £42 to play on a Saturday and have to say paid a lot better courses for a lot less. This needs to be looked at if the club is trying to encourage visitors. Still managed to play under my handicap so things not to bad. Gross score 90 Handicap 20

Heard much about this course, but can only say disappointed. Can see the golf course has recently undertaken extensive soil dumping, but for what we had to pay, was totally disappointed. Sorry don\'t have much to say about this course but won\'t be returning, make sure you have your wellies. Clubhouse had no faciliites to speak of either.

Been a member for the last couple of years and the whole club has been going down hill , it needs a person who can give it some golf loving and talk to its members and not just the ones who are by the bar all weekend , it\'s the best course around but need someone who can give it what it needs , the staff are brilliant and the club house need knocking down and rebuilding . But for the money you can play it for a few years before it starts wearing you down that someone can do that to a golf course with alot of potential .

played this course a lot recently yes it is a bit wet but what you would expect with the monsoon of a summer we have had greens are in good nick rough is not to bad and well what can i say about the 10th best hole I have ever played bar none and the 11th with that three tier green is a test for any golfer but i believe it is a great course with great members who all seem to be welcoming and warm

Course guide was a bit misleading at times, quite forgiving, greens ran fast.

I enjoyed playing at this course shooting under my h-cap and hitting a hole in one on the 10th, although I do have a few moans.... Firstly the course is not very well sign posted, secondly the greens are very small and finally two of the holes share the same green..!! Back 9 is very tight & tricky in places... Will take a trolley in future....

course was quite wet with some puddles on greens etc but overall it held up quite well considering.

was on for a good round but went in bunker on the 17th and took me 3 shots to get it out could easily of done a late 80s score

tough back nine even though its 4 holes shorter in the par the par 5s are challenging but within par range

1st time playing Chalgrave.

considering the amount of rain we've had the course wasn't too bad,some wet patches but unfortunately mud balls nearly everytime on the fairway and no pick /place!!!

had some interesting holes and also some quite small greens
