Stanton-on-the-Wolds Golf ClubThe course is an enjoyable and scenic parkland course with two distinct nines. The first nine holes are shorter and offer the chance to build a good score. The back nine is longer, harder and more undulating. In spite of offering a number of birdie opportunities for the better player, the small greens throughout the course require you to play accurate iron shots. Holes 13 to 18, can prove a good test particularly in the prevailing wind.

Absolutely superb condition, fairways as good as some greens i've played on recently. All the staff were friendly and helpful, there were more green staff around than i've seen anywhere, although i think they were preparing for a comp in the late afternoon.

Golf course review of Stanton-on-the-Wolds Golf Club

Established in 1906 on farming pasture land. It has evolved over the years into a most pleasant course. Maintained to a very high standard throughout the summer with small greens which are the best you will find in Nottinghamshire. Friendly staff and members who maintain the standards of etiquette and courtesy which help to keep golf as the most civilised sporting pastime. Visitors are welcome on non competition days (best to check beforehand)
