What Golfshake says
'Open - New owners have changed the way you play the course but for the btter. As always in great condition and a tough test of golf. A lot of different holes.
Masters - A great beginners course or one for low handicappers to get some confidence up. But relax at your peril, you can still find danger here and putting on good undulating greens is tough.'

Very difficult today, greens were hard and icy so difficult to stop anything and judging the bounce was a lottery. Having said that the course was in decent nick but will reserve judgement after a round in better conditions - signs look good though. Not the most interesting front 9 you'll ever see, but the back is much more picturesque.

Excellent golf centre with a choice of courses to play. one with a lot of water and one with just the occassional lake, both courses always immaculately presented, and a challenge to both the high and low handicappers.

A great course to play.
It is one you will always want to go back and try again as there are so many different challenges on both front and back nine.

Played both courses on two very sunny and hot dats in April 2011. Got great deals through an online tee time booking site which made it excellent value for money. The Open course is outstanding. Greens were slightly bumpy but it was only April but the layout is exciting, interesting and challenging. Greens were slightly better on the Masters course, the shorter of the two. Again, an interesting layout and a bit more accessible for the average golfer.

Played here on 14.02.11. ( Open Course) The course was not in good condition with pitch marks all over a lot of the greens. Also they have taken away the whole of the hedgerow on the 8th/9th hole.
I always look forward to playing here but will no longer travel the short distance to play here. We were charged £40 a round on a Monday. It is well over priced.
The restaurant is very expensive but the pub next down serves great food at a price to suit everyone

Bit expensive but good to see it on tee off times now. Only played the open course so far in the last 4 years. Lots of water and brooks before greens so par score is difficult. Exceptional course design and nice parkland course feel. Good greens with true roll

I played the open course recetly using a two for one voucher £16 each. The front 9 holes are very interesting with lots of hazards ie lots of water to make you think about your shot, esp wen there are cruel ditches running accross the fairways. The back 9 is very different looking more like a lynx course. Overall this course is in immaculate condition. I cant wait to play this again.

We played the open course on a very warm day. When I went into the pro shop for water I was charged an arm and a leg for it. TOP TIP take your own water and food, otherwise you will be ripped good and proper.
We booked a society day with bacon rolls and coffee etc, this was delivered 45 mins late and when we finaly got it the coffee/tea was cold.
It just seemed to us that the club was out to make as much money from us as possible and didn't care less about the needs of the society. I will not be taking the society back to Cotgrave.

Played the Masters course here, nice little course in a great location. Slight noise from the small planes that use the close by private airport but its pretty peacefull really. Course was in good nick if not particularly challenging. Varied holes considering there were little or no hazards or features. The site looks properous and well kept. Would like to go back and play the other course. No hole layout signage on the tee boxes so playing blind on some holes.

Played this course a couple of times through this spell of awful weather and the course and greens are in excellent condition. The greens are better here than most courses are in summer. Green keepers who turn off equipment while you take your shot is not what you find at most courses, but here it seems the norm.
The only bad thing about Cotgrave Place is the prices in the club house. The pub next door is the ideal place, having a full roast for under £4.

We played on a lovely sunny autumn day. The fairways were firm and the greens in excellent condition for the time of year.
The Open course realy is a course of two halves. The first nine holes are played next to, over and around water and, although not particularly long, the holes are interesting, varied and challenging. The back nine is played away from the water, but a succession of well-placed hazards only add to the enjoyment and the challenge.
We finished in good time and took advantage of the welcoming, if slightly expensive, clubhouse. Definitely one to play if you haven't done so far.

Cracking course already and more improvements underway. Greens are fantastic. The rough is punishing, just how it should be.
Staff and members are nice and friendly.
BAD POINT: The prices in the clubhouse are well over the top. (My advise is play the course and then into the pub next door).

Nice course, greens immaculate. The rough is really hard to escape. The staff are friendly, on the downside the clubhouse is expensive.
