What the club says: An on-going programme of improvements have turned this 6,515-yard Par 72 course into one of the most challenging and best-kept in Nottinghamshire.
The attractive parkland course, which has water hazards in play on eight holes, has also grown into a haven for wildlife - including a pair of resident swans. The fact that all 18 holes provide a different challenge undoubtedly adds to the interest yet the course can be enjoyed by golfers of all abilities. As each year goes by, the trees grow and the greens develop their own identity, so the degree of difficulty increases noticeably.

Nice parkland course
Played in Nov 2021 on a nice autumn day. Course had just moved to temp tee boxes and some mats but generally pretty good. Greens were a little fluffy but that is too be aspected at the time of year - however, there were in superb condition, extremely flat and rolled very true so a join to putt on so late in the season. The course is nice and well laid out with a good mix of holes. The fairways are mostly tree lined and thankfully the rough was cut back so a slightly off tee shot was only punished with contending with the trees.
Would definitely recommend and worth a visit. Reasonable value, nice pace and good variety. Hospitality and welcome was good but worth noting that the clubhouse doesn't open until 11am but there is a small halfway hut for takeouts. The 9th was also on a temp green which we weren't made aware of but could be rectified with a note on a board or information from the pro shop.

Mature Course
Played in a three ball as part of our society. Course in good condition, fairways a little dry and bouncy, greens reasonable, bunkers in play. Could see evidence of clearing out some of the many ditches had commenced. Had a drink in the clubhouse after with tables spaced well apart for virus. All very enjoyable.Reviewer Rating
