Ruddington Grange Golf Club
It takes many years for a golf course to mature and develop but Ruddington Grange is now unrecognisable compared to when it first opened in 1988.
Quite apart from the fact that more than 5,000 trees have been planted over the years, an on-going programme of improvements have turned this 6,515-yard Par 72 course into one of the most challenging and best-kept in Nottinghamshire.
Now a regular venue for county matches and competitions, its reputation grows as each year passes, so it is little wonder that Ruddington has a thriving club membership and is a popular choice for societies and major golf days.
The attractive parkland course, which has water hazards in play on eight holes, has also grown into a haven for wildlife - including a pair of resident swans.
The fact that all 18 holes provide a different challenge undoubtedly adds to the interest yet the course can be enjoyed by golfers of all abilities. As each year goes by, the trees grow and the greens develop their own identity, so the degree of difficulty increases noticeably.Contact Information

First time playing this course and in excellent condition for 3 days before Xmas Day. Course clearly drains well and wasn't muddy at all coming in. Has good standard of tee boxes and signage between holes was easily seen. Greens really good paced (like putting in September really) and my partner and I had a great day's golf.

Great facilities and nice course. When we played greens were in good nick and course well looked after.
Just about good value for money but worth it if you can get a 2 for 1 or teeofftimes offer. The Course

I have played this course over a number of years as a guest, the last time being some two years ago. I have to say the course has now really matured and the holes have become very well defined and now have their own identity which I found a lot better. It also makes you focus more on your strategy which I liked immensely. The course is a very good test for all standards as it punishes and rewards fairly if you get your strategy right, but if you choose the wrong shot you have to work to put it right. The facilities are very good with good friendly staff. Please note for novice players try to choose a less busy time as you will come under pressure by the members as they like to race around the course without unecessary delays. But overall the course plays well with the greens being nice and receptive to incoming shots. I thoroughly recomend this course to those looking for a good venue and if you canget to play with a member at £16 is very good value for money.

The course has a great layout and is set in nice quiet surroundings. From tee to green the course is in great shape. I loved the fact that they keep the grass shortish between the trees, so you don't need an endless supply of balls every time one strays. Greens were a lot faster than they looked, but you could hold them from distance, which I like.
If this was £20 a round it would become a regular spot for me. I say £20 because Morley Hayes and Mapperley are within easy reach and are always in great condition for only £20The Course

the fairways and tee boxes are very good, the greens are nice but not as fast as they look. a nice course all in all, but not worth £25 to play on a week day.

Another of my favourite course, quite challenging with some good par 5's, I tend to lose a few balls in the water and ditches within the 18 holes but nevertheless I enjoying playing here. Food is very good

A surprisingly good golf course that has all the maturity of a well established course, probably due to it's setting in the grounds of the old Grange.
The layout is interesting from start to finish and to score well one needs tio concentrate although it's fair to all levels of player.
The clubhouse has a traditional feel, having been converted from a building much older than the course. Play Ruddington Grange soon, I'm sure you won't be dissapointed. The Course
