Good course.......
£15 for a round of golf on Wednesday afternoon, just turn up and play. The course was in good condition, the greens were mainly good but on some they were a little patchy, mainly round the edges and the bunkers were a little lumpy! (one of many courses with bunker issues it seems!).The course layout was pretty good, a little straight up and down for the first 9 but the second nine was much more interesting with a few hills and valley's thrown in. A decent challenge at a good price and value.

Played today with a couple of lads, really enjoyed the course. 2 completely different 9s. Front 9 more flat and back 9 very hilly. Fairways in great condition and well watered as hardly any burnt grass out there. Greens are tough and fast. You need to take a good read and check sideways as alot of up an down hill putts. Not alot of bunkers as the 3of us didn't hit one. Will play again next time I'm in Harrogate.

Spofforth needs a better club house. The course itself is probably the best pay and play ive played.

Inexpensive municipal course in beautiful surroundings
Inexpensive municipal course which is set in beautiful picturesque surroundings. There are big open fairways which are very forgiving for the occasional stray shot off the tee. The clubhouse is very basic as are the general facilities, but I will definitely play here again on a sunny day. Well worth the journey from North Leeds.Reviewer Rating

Pretty good for a play and play course

The fairways are very wide Sonos you mess up your tee shot I might still go on the fairway. Also the greens were in very good condition. It also would be better if you could pay by cash. The staff are also very nice.Round played July 2017 / handicap 3.9 / score 74

Nice day out
