Greens were a bit rough, looked as though cored and sanded a while ago.
But this is UK and coming out of winter.

Really pleasent and accessible course for all skill levels. Friendly opening holes, with some challenging holes later on.
Good cluibhouse and facilities and the half way house is not to be missed. Will go back and take up one of the play and stay offers.

For early winter play the course was excellent, no bare lies at all. Very well layed out course.
The 19th was pleasant and the bacon sandwiches were just what was needed to finish with.
For people with leg/walking problems note! We were allowed to use a buggie but had to stick to the purpose made tracks - this was very good for winter.

Great course, really well maintained. Went in winter in pretty bad weather and it was still in fantastic condition, even the greens. A good shot is rewarded while a bad one is punished.
The 6 hole course is also great fun. You must try it.
The staff were polite and welcoming and the facilities were all top notch.
Through the winter you can have a 4 ball for £40! Amazing value.

Having held a small golf society here for the last 4 years and despite heavy rain for 3 out of the 4 years I can highly recommend this course.
The course is made up of an excellent variety of well planned holes and offers golfers of all standards a challenging and enjoyable round.
Good challenge for the big hitters is taking on the 'hedge' on both the 9th and the 10th.

good course well worth playing par 3 repton for a warm up before main event an open course that plays quite flatteringly in the winter, 4 ball for 40 squid in the winter makes this an absolute bargain defo gonna come back lots, gotta see if i can get round as well from summer tees and with rough to contend with

I played here for the second time in a memorial comp, the fist time being last year and the course was just outstanding. The semi rough this year was very deep grass which totally messed up my game. The greens were also not up to scratch for this course. Very disapointed this year

Spent many an afternoon here with my best mates so lots of good times to report! A really testing woodland course with some pretty unique holes and plenty of tests. A good course, some pretty long holes... you've got to be driving well here!

White tees - why does it make any differnece. Probaly a few hundredyards longer than the yellows but all of a sudden the slice comes back because you;re trying to hit it too hard, it's a 4 iron instead of a 7/8 iron and the game suddenly takes on a new level.

After playing the blue tees all winter and then going back to the yellow tees you suddenly realise golf is harder than you had let yourself believe over the last 5-6 months.
It does tend to get very busy dring the week with corporate events but members can reserve tee times and there are blocks of tee times solely reserved for members.
Mt favourite course in the summer above all others in Harrogate but members of other clubs willalways say the same about their course, especially in Harrogate where golfing snobbery seems to have been born.
A fleet of buggies is available and the greens are well maintained. The club, although privately owned, is very forward thinking and always looking of ways to improve the experience when playing at Rudding. Well worth a visit.

Off the winter tee the course is a lot shorter but still has some challenging holes. The rough tends to be a lot kinder in the winter tha it can be during the summer when it is left to grow and punish those, including me, who miss the fairway, wildly at times.
One of the few courses in the area to remain on the normal greens for the duration of the winter, except in exceptional circumstances although the 14th green is a bit of a lottery.
The team behind the counter are very friendly and helpful and the course is well kept considering it is used extensively for corporate events, although much less in the winter. Even so, tee times are reserved for members.
Great course even considering the choices in the Harrogate area.
