I like the variety of holes and it was in reasonable good nick except for some of the bunkers which need some TLC. Clubhouse offerings were the worst we have come across since lockdown ended. Price is reflective of the course though. Would play again.

Great friendly course

Shrivenham Park Golf Club is a hidden gem for golfers who enjoy a bit of a challenge and lots of fun. It's a warm, welcoming club with no cliques. Visitors and members are welcomed alike.
The course is inexpensive for this area, but is relatively well-maintained and the team work hard to ensure it's playable all year round.
Although the 10th tee isn't in the best location and it may be better for the club to consider shortening the 12th hole with a new tee placement it never feels too busy or crowded.

Nice friendly course - great Wednesday deal

They have a Wednesday deal of a round for £7 and then a coffee and bacon bap for £3. Excellent value. The course was in good condition given the recent very wet weather. All holes open, no temporary greens. Friendly people too.

Great value with offers on green fees available. Narrow course so you have to hit it straight. Take plenty of balls if you stray a bit. Decent greens and a good test of your game.

A short course that certainly isn't an easy round, with a number of tricky holes to be faced. 5, 6 and 7 are no easy pars, and at the 13th you're faced with one of the tightest fairways you're likely to play.

The course itself was in really good condition, and the greens were amazing given that it is only the 1st March.

Played it many times, its a bit cheaper and very easy to get a round at short notice. Holes 5, 6 & 7 can ruin your round as they are very tough but back 9 plays quite easy. Some of the tees cross each other so can mean a bit of a wait. Still a good test for the higher handicappers where they can feel comfortable amongst the more regular players.

Worth a round or two....

Played here today, what a beautiful course, 3 holes were off limits as the deludge of the past 3 months had flooded the bottoms 3 holes...of 5,6,7 as a result you play holes 14 twice plus 1 and 18 if you'd like to play a full 18.
Very friendly greeting, and lovely bacon sandwiches before and after along with a recommended black pudding sausage roll!
Would love to play here in the summer, well worth a visit, not a long course but you need to play some good shots to keep the ball on the slopes of the greens, drives need to be straight and accurate in areas as there's plenty of trees and more to punish errant or wayward shots.
Many thanks to Richard for his help and hospitality...
