Me and a friend played this course on Wednesday 21st of August 2013. It was my first round anywhere for over 15 years and my playing partners first ever round. We found the staff very helpfull and also the members on the course where only to willing to offer advice. Possibly not the best course for beginners as its a long course with many up or downhill holes. Nice wide fairways meant between us we only lost 3 balls which we where very pleased with. Neither of us as yet have a handicap and our scores where high, but mainly due to our bad putting. We are already planning to return and would say we had a fantastic round of golf. Now for the bad bit, we went round in 120 and 132 , we have no idea how that would score with a handicap as we dont have one. Thankyou Roseberry for a great first game of golf.

Played this course on tues and was pleasantly surprised on the condition of the greens. I have heard so many bad reports but believe me I have been playing golf for 25 years and am a single figure handicapper and the greens were by no means v poor in fact I would say although a bit slow a very true and good roll thoroughly enjoyed my all round experience and top quality value for money happy days. Give it a try😊.

The course was very wet in places but the fairways were in good condition considering the rain we've had.

I'm a member of a course further up the road (Hobson), but, very much enjoy playing Roseberry Grange when I do, I'm not the greatest golfer, but, I find the course very forgiving, the fairways are adequate and in a lot better condition then my own course, also, I've found the greens to be fine. I disagree with the comment above about the 14th, which is fondly known as "Heart Attack Hill", it does loom at you, and will wreck your card if your not careful, but club selection is key on that hole, and I have no problem finding the green with a 5 iron, use anything below that, or a 3 wood, and your in trouble (This is from someone who goes around in 95, so, I'm far from being a pro)The clubhouse is very friendly and has a modern attitude to it's members , their very chatty and don't succumb to the stigma of "posh golf", yes, you can in fact walk off the 18th with a golf cap on and go straight in for a pint, no stuffy old farts whining to the staff because my Ping golf cap is 'inappropriate'!!!They don't have a pro shop to date, they did have one, this by no means spoils the clubhouse because lets face it, you can get a better deal from either the interwebs, or even golf super stores that are dotted about. This is my opinion of the course, and as such, I know people who don't like playing there due to it being a bit hilly, but, in my experience, if your local to it, then have a go, because it beats the stuffing out of Mount Oswald for being friendly, and better playing conditions then the Hobson!

For £12.50, some in my group thought that was good value but for me the course was missing alot. Greens were v.poor, yard markers were often wrong in terms of yardage and the bar was shut. I may have had a stinker but whoever takes over the ownership of this place has alot of work to do.

Probably a bit unfair to review based on my first visit. It was thunder and lightening and the pitch was pretty waterlogged from the constant heavy rain. The plus side was the Club Competition was abandoned so we had the course more or less to ourselves
