Friendly club with beautiful views on back 9
Decided to play Porthmadog during a family holiday in Hafan y Mor and I didn’t regret it. Very helpful club pro (thanks Paul) assisted me with an early start request as well as providing good course guidance. The front 9 has been underrated I feel in some reviews and did have a woodland course feel but the course comes into its own on the back 9. Links play all the way with completely different wind conditions compared to the front 9. The course was bone dry everywhere (April) and the greens in decent nick considering the cold March and early wet April. The members and green keepers I met in the course were very friendly with good hole advice provided.Definitely would play again.

Spectacular

Great course
Tale of 2 halves; nothing too much going on round the front 9. Back 9 is glorious traditional links(Round played: Jul 2017 - Score: 85 Handicap: 12.2)

played a society day here last Tuesday in 30 degree of heat the course was in great shape from 1st to last, back nine turned into a survival course heat no breeze off the sea and running out of water fast but really enjoyed the day....anybody see the film "a town like Alice" at the end when they get in the bar and they stare at the cold pint on the bar, will know how our day ended.......but will return

Good Course
A good front nine for the higher handicapper. Some of the back 9 holes can be challenging for unless you are a straight hitter. All in All an enjoyable game.(Round played: May 2017 - Score: 102 Handicap: 28)

Love to play again. Back 9 has holes with blind tee shots but we had time as course was empty to watch each others shots Views outstanding

Read some good reviews of here, so thought we'd give it a go, and we were very happy we did!
Front 9 was good, nothing major to write about, but nice enough and challenging enough.
Back 9 however, completely different golf course, spectacular links course, very challenging and with some very demanding holes. Not especially long, but made you constantly think about what shot to play and you had to be accurate.
If i ever end out in Wales again, im sure to visit this course again!
