Pennard Golf Club
2 Southgate Road, Southgate, Swansea, West Glamorgan, SA3 2BT United Kingdom
There is not a weak or a prosaic hole on this short gorse and heather framed, 6,225 yard, par 71 track. Awkward lies and stances are a matter of course and the rugged terrain becomes even more dramatic on the back nine. Beware also, the forty bunkers, which although not exceptionally large, are very well placed and sometimes lethal! Pennard's most remarkable hole may be the 351 yard 7th, which heads out to sea from a high, noble tee. The line of flight between the sparse ruins of a 13th century church and more imposing remnants of Pennard Castle, which dates from the 1100's, presents one unforgettable experience.

Fantastic course in a fantastic setting, views during the back 9 verge on incredible at time. Club staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and club shop itself did a nice range of course branded items for the collectors out their.
Highly recommend both the course and the service.

Fabulous course - dramatic views and very challanging holes especially in the wind. Deserves its place as one of the best courses in Britain , let alone Wales. It would come as a shock to those used to parkland courses though. We heard that the greens had been vandalised but they are fine now.

Nice views but the greens were dreadful. Definitely not worth £50.

Absolutely stunning - we were blessed with sunshine and light winds, but this made the course even more spectacular and complimented breathtaking views. A very friendly reception from all the staff and excellent condition of both the course and greens meant for a wonderful 2 days golfing. The course itself is tricky and I would suggest playing it twice just to get the lie of the land as there are quite a few blind shots, but look out for the 17th!! Highly recommended.
