Course is undergoing some major reconstruction work but the layout is excellent - greens were well maintained and consistent. The only negative is the par 3 7th hole - temporary Tee and very short.
The heavy plant machines can be distracting but only a couple of holes affected.
I enjoyed it and would recommend without hesitation.

Not played here for a good 8 years, last time I did it was a boring flat course.
Played here yesterday: Granted, there is work going on. But you can see the potential in the course now, the shape of some of the holes will be stunning. Despite the work going on the greens were perfect.

Considering a membership here now.

Still having lots of work done around the course - I've played it a couple of times now and would recommend it.
When it's completed it will be a lot better but still a decent challenge for the novice or decent standard golfer.

Played the course 2 weeks ago for the first time in 4 years. Simply amazing the difference. You would not believe it is the same course. The trees have grown and are now over 20ft high. Now one of the best courses in North West and good value for money. Staff were so friendly and so was clubhouse

It looks straight forward enough and it can be on a calm day. Once the wind gets up it is a differebt matter with the par 5's playing as 6 and a couple of par 4's playing as 5. Maturing all the time and is well looked after. Recommended

Improving

This golf course is continually improving and the ground staff listen to recommendations from all who play
It definitely suits the older player with its length and relative flatness. The biggest plus is the friendliness of everyone who is involved.

Changes and work done to the course have really improved it!

In the last three years the course has come on leaps and bounds. Greens are great and have some undulations to them. Fairways are firm and the ball runs true. A very friendly and welcoming golf club!

Not played the course for a while but it was in good condition overall & bunkers seemed to have a good look too. Due to the weather obviously it was dry & challenging to stop the ball but that's just golf in dry conditions.... really enjoyed it
