Yes, the course was a little wet, but that is to be expected after three weeks of terrible rain. Considering the recent weather it was in good condition and is a fairly interesting course with a variety of holes. The greens ran true despite being spiked and there were two temporary greens (5th and 14th I think) but, like I say, you really can't complain about that after the weather over the last few weeks. You can tell when walking round that a lot of work has been undertaken recently and there is still some work taking place and I imagine when it has been completed it'll be good little course. A lot of land has been shifted to make a number of the holes hidden from the rest and gives you the feel of isolation from the rest of the course. Worth a visit, i'll definitely be back when it is drier later on this year.

Getting better

Course is drying out now after the abysmally wet winter. Wettest on the holes around the clubhouse (1st, 9th & 18th) Some of the rough on these holes is still a little boggy, I suppose that's expected on such a flat layout however keep the ball relatively straight and you won't have that problem. Rest of the course is great and some improvements to the course are still being made. Recommended.

This course is currently in dreadful condition and is well avoided. The course is generally very tatty and unkempt and has some of the worst bunkers I have ever encountered.
The green have previously been hollow tined but the holes haven't been fill in which leaves the greens very bumpy and very difficult to have any confidence on the greens. As other contributors have stated there are some significant works being undertaken at present.
It's a shame really because the shop and bar staff are very friendly. I will not be visiting this course again as there are far far better courses around the area.

Played Saturday 26th June. Course was in excellent condition. Fairways good with 2 cuts to rough which was even all over. Greens in great condition with true roll. Pace of play good 4hrs round. Value for money ,worth a visit. If i can find one negative changing rooms are more like the green keepers lodge needs addressing.

Got potential

I know 2 members so get invited most weeks. This course has the ability to become a real gem but it's extremely tatty round the edges. Can be very wet & muddy the Cart paths are dreadful & not suitable for wheeling a normal trolley down them shame really as it would cut footfall on fairways when wet. Layout I find excellent good drive gives you mid iron into number of holes par 5,s reachable in 2 for big hitters par 3,s two quite challenging one with water in front can be card wrecker. With a lot more investment in greens, sprinkler system & serious drainage work then it would become a real gem

Have played course many times and have watched as from its early days of farmers fields grow and mature . Recently over the past few years they seemed to be spending money on the course creating elevated tees and more of a 3D feel to the course , however was saddened to play this course this week as the greens are in a shocking state . You can tell they have not been fed or holintined ( pardon the spelling) they are put to shame by most pitch and putts . Will not be going again this year although I believe may have new management soon so may try again next year . Very disappointing

It's a nice course in terms of layout. Tree lined fairways & a couple of bits of water make it interesting.
I have to be 100% honest, the greens were very poor, very patchy & bobbly, which is disappointing as they let down what could be a lovely little course.
