Lovely premier league countryside views and well worth travelling a distance to play as a one off. Very difficult to find and could have closed if it was a private course.
Ground should be OK to play most of the year. The strangest thing though is the price for a council offshoot course. It should be about £ 15.00 max full price and £10.00 off peak yet they charge considerably more.

Hardly any stock in pro-shop, distinct lack of sand in the bunkers, overpriced compared to other better kept courses. The greens are slow but the do run true and are in good condition. I usually play here for practice as its usually very quiet and the fairways are very forgiving. The owners of this course should be ashamed of themselves, they are letting the staff down dreadfully.

Not easy to find. Major lack off signage on way to course.
Summary review is that it is a very average public course. Holes 2,3 and 4 are a real pain due to major sloping fairways which means it is almost impossible to hold them. The back nine was much more enjoyable than the front.
Summary:
Tee boxes - reasonable 6/10
Fairways - sloping and full of holes, bare patches 5/10
Greens - very inconsistent and ball does not roll true 5/10
Clubhouse - nice atmosphere, good food and beer 8/10
A course I can tick off as played but I won't be adding it to the list of courses I play regular.
