What the club says: This course, often described as an Inland Links, retains many of the features designed by James Braid when he remodelled the course in 1922. Built entirely on sand and gravel, this heathland course is free draining providing genuine year round golf on springy fairways with fast and true greens which are frequently described as the best in the West Midlands. Accuracy and a good short game are the key to good scoring as the course provides a true test of golf for the keen golfer whilst offering golfers of all abilities a good round of golf on a fair course surrounded by the beautiful South Shropshire countryside.

Excellent greens and fairways, shame about the man made hazards and oss racing track that goes around it. Beautifully looked after though.

I've just started to take Golf a bit more seriously and taken temp membership at Ludlow, the staff at ludlow and in particular one of the club's Pro's, Dan Francis has been outstanding, in terms of Instruction and Knowledge. My kids have just joined the Golf Academy, the training team are excellent and higly recommended.

A fantastic inland linksy-style course in superb condition all year round. I cannot speak highly enough of the greens. Lovely surfaces to putt on in any condition and, although I have not played there in summer time, I am assured they are very fast. If you want a superb winter course, look no further. Off the course, very friendly proshop staff and excellent food on offer at the 19th.

course is built inside the racecourse so is very flat. plays very much like a links with sandy soil and gorse and reedbeds. keep it off the racetrack and youll be ok.
