played the course a few times and really enjoy it, stright hitting is a big advantage on this course, a lot of trees and fast but true greens make this course a must play

Very good golf course which is an excellent test for your all round game. Excellent greens which provides a true test of your 'reading' ability. If you can stay out of the trees and hit the ball straight you will be in line for a low score.

I think the previous reviewee played the other course in Leek. Birchall is quite a trick course with now very well guarded greens all round since they moved a few bunkers a few feet.No water in play anywhere on the course however accuracy from the tee is key as the rough becomes long very quickly should you stray off line and the trees will get you if the rough does not. Quick greens make for an all round good challenge for 12 - 28 handicappers.

A course of two halves first nine is up hill down hill club selection can be trickey if its windy, back nine water comes into play on a few holes but is less trickey, its well worth playing ,greens are very good consistant all round, theres a couple of shared fairways but overall its v good. Not a bad pint after, food is spot on.
