Leatherhead Golf Club
Leatherhead Golf Club, which celebrated its centenary in 2003 is a fine example of a mature Surrey Parkland Golf Course. Ancient oak trees line the fairways whilst the greens which are well guarded and subtly contoured are regarded as being amongst the best in Surrey. Leatherhead Golf Club has hosted PGA events and is a regular venue for Surrey County fixtures. The course is peaceful, yet easily accessible, being 10 minutes from the A3 and 5 minutes from Junction 9 of the M25.

Not my favourite course, fairly tight but greens slow. Not overly interesting and for the money there are alot better courses around.

1st tee was backed up so we tee'd off late, then was stuck behind a 4 ball that just was not allowing anyone through. Overall it's a great relaxing course

My local course but had never played it. Front nine are reasonably open and a fair test. Back nine appears to have been truncated and fitted in around the M25! Some short holes made it a tight finish for us! Worth a visit.

Best in area for the money. Fairways could do with a little help. Can't fault the greens. Tough course if your not consistent. Nearly always windy. Can't remember the last time I played here without a gale!!!

The good news - I secured a round here for £10 via teetimes.co.uk; the not so good news - I was joined by a 7 handicap member who proposed that we played off the whites! Nevertheless, a very enjoyable round on a beautiful late autumn day. The front 9 is straightforward but longish - the back is shorter but more interesting. Most of the holes are tree lined - in autumn, attractive from afar but not so appealing if you are amongst them! The course condition was slightly below my expectations but it is well worth playing and an absolute steal at £10.

A great course, looks easy enough but be warned, it's challenging. Long Par 5s, shapely Par4s and Par3s that punish wayward shots.
The clubhouse is very inviting and staff friendly, they serve excellent food too. The changing rooms have decent shower facilities.
The course is great fun, the fairways are a bit worn in places but the ground staff make up for that with excellent greens. The halfway house is one of the best I've been too, it;s small but has a great selection of food and drink.
There are a few "knocks" against Leatherhead: Tee boxes are not as good as they could be - generally uneven (but they do have plans to rebuild pretty much all of them)
Several holes have blind shots, they need to invest in some decent fairway bells rather than the very poor clutchplates in place at present!
I love playing this course and I've played there many times with lots of people and they all enjoyed it.
Pretty expensive without a member but still worth it.
