Played here for the first and only time in May. Lovely course with lots of interesting holes that make you think off tees. Greens were some of the best I've seen this year - if not ever. Expensive if you don't get on cheaper with a voucher or reduced fee. Some might say its worth the usual £38 and I wouldn't disagree too much. Will be back again for sure.

Built on clay. Played in the spring after a wet winter so the course drying out. Fairways were in poor condition and chipping around the green is mainly on bare patches. Too many short holes on the back 9 (3 or 4 par 4’s under 300 yards. In no hurry to go back.

The Full Let Down

£40 pp would be a fair price if the course was in proper nick but having driven 90 mins to get there, & no prior warning was given, we found much of the course sodden, & worn more akin to what you might expect in mid winter, there was plenty of work going on around the course, temporary tees, a reduced hole from par 4 to 3, compacted sand in the bunkers, a grass tee where the grass was higher than the ball on the tee, & at least one green that was heavily sanded. V disappointed that the full rate was charged & would have come back in high summer if we had been pre warned.

Mud bath

Our 4 ball trolleys were caked in mud even before we got to the 1st green. I had a small wheel on the front of my trolley and it was so clogged up that I had to push it for the whole round on the two main wheels and even these needed frequently cleaning. To add ? insult to injury ? the shoe and trolley cleaning equipment wasn't working.
It is a very nice and interesting course that we have played in the past but not in the winter. I don't think we will be back until the summer .

Appalling condition

Played Leatherhead Golf club today. The condition of the course, all fairways were soaking wet, full of mud and clay.
Considering there has been very little rain lately in this area we could not believe how poor this course was. This was every hole. The condition resembled a farmers field, although the field is most probably dryer than the course.
The pace of play was also snail like
Dont waste your money playing here if your tempted go down the local farm or park and play there you will enjoy it more

Will not be coming back. Food??? Takes ages even though it was quiet. Course not in good condition. Hollow tiine was brought forward and let us know last minute. Thats not the problem. THE MEMBERS ARE!!!! They had a mixed comp on today and a group of members told us they are not letting people through even though there was a gap of at least 4 holes in front of them. Took over 5 hours.... Disgracefull suggest they have a martial and inform the members about etiquette as they clearly do not have any, even wear their head gear in the clubhouse so never again and will lose our business, but hey wont care although they should as looks like the club needs some funding and management. There was 16 of us. DREADFULL!!!!

Poor condition for the money

Course generally in poor condition, couldn't tell rough from fairway in parts, greens particularly poor condition. Seems like money has been spent on marketing but the course has been neglected.

On The Downgrade

Haven't played here for a while and what a disappointment. Greens are in poor condition looking diseased. Rest looked shabby and uncared for. It certainly wasn't value for money compared to other pay and play courses.

so wet it shouldn't have really allowed play as it's clay ground. One pitch landed on the fringe and the ball was completely buried.

Usually a lovely course though.

Disappointing- poorly maintained

While others were improving course, Leatherhead gone the other way. The greens were a disgrace and fairways not much better. How nastiness can be expected to putt on the greens is just a lottery. Shame as course layout is great.
